was Jesus a spirit within a human body ie the son is a spirit without a body
or a spirit and body formed the son ?

God is a bodiless being.
Christ was always there, he wasn't ''born'' by Mary, he always existed. In order to speak to us and teach us he got a body.
His birth was his coming to Earth.
When he came to us he was 100% God and 100% Human.
