Visitor Visa is for visit/touring purpose only.
You are not suppose to work on Visitor Visa.
If you are looking for a JOB in USA, you may consider work permit based visa like H1 etc.

You cannot get a work permit if you are already in the US with a visitor's visa, but I don't see why you can't come over and attend job interviews, etc. with that visa. Once you've secured a sponsoring company, then you would need to return to your own country and apply for the work visa. They will not change visa status while you are in the US.

It's not clear from your post what kind of work permit you have. Is it based on a pending green card application or what? You need to be careful about entering a B visa. This visa does not permit work and may undermine a previously issued work auth. card.

You can validly enter the US with a visitor visa and look for a job but you will only be entertained by companies accepting illegals.
