Count me in. And you know what else? Call me shallow if you will, but I think Latinas and Hispanic women are hot. Period. And you know what else? I think Hispanic culture is pretty darn fascinating. In terms of writing (magical realism!) and painting and architecture, there's just some amazing stuff. And the history is deep! From the Aztecs to the conquistadors to Texas ... fascinating.
And you know what else? I'm an (unfortunately) Republican-registered Constitution-loving IRS-hating white upper-class male Libertarian. I love English -- AND Spanish!! Like, Woah -- I appreciate another culture w/o surrendering my own. Wow.
So let me repeat, in case i wasn't plainly clear the first time around. I'm a flag-flying pull-yourself-up capitalist, ambitious Constitution-loving American ... who ALSO ... at the same time (brace yourself!!) ... enjoys having Hispanics and Latinos in this country and looks forward to their civic and artistic contributions.

Ok so I am NOT republican but I agree with everything else you have said.
With all the ANTIs on here I give you THUMBS up for having the courage to say those things!!! You will take a lot of heat..but not from me. When I was flying into Mexico City I was seated next to a Mexican man who told me lots of tales of Mexico's history. All I could think was WOW!!! It was beyond fascinating. Your right, the architecture is astounding!! Beautiful old buildings!!
I think the Spanish language is super sexy....the food awesome...and the culture, equally outstanding!!

Don't know why any one would not like Mexicans. Some of my best friends are Hispanics. Why would you think Anglo don't like Mexicans. Maybe it is the news about Illegal immigration. It isn’t a people that anyone doesn’t like it is the illegal part that gets messed up.

I like anyone who plays by the rules. Illegal immigrants don't/didn't. Illegal immigrants have placed an undue strain on our economy, our social services, our education and our health care.
I don't like people who broke the law to get here, sap our society of money and social services, and drag our society down, without contributing.
There's nothing radical about your position; indeed, you are naive.

I'm a white guy who likes Mexicans. I like all Latin Americans. Spanish is a fine language. I think English and Spanish should be the official languages of the United States.

I completely agree. I'm a registered Libertarian who loves the United States, but I still don't see the big deal about Mexicans, Mexican culture, and illegal immigration. I know Mexico sucks, but that doesn't mean that Mexicans have nothing positive to offer the United States.
