This whole antenna thing is a ploy to get you to buy another antenna....

There is no difference between Antenna and Digital Antenna, because the frequencies for reception are still in the UHF and VHF bands....

Your old Tabletop antenna will still recieve the signal and just as well.
The Terk Digital antenna has no more gain than the Terk UHF antenna.....

The only thing you need to do is choose a Tabletop antenna for stations 20 miles or less away from you and an outdoor/attic antenna for 20 to 40 miles away....

Here's a great helper for you.....

It will tell you the best type of antenna with color codes and then you select the TV stations you want to recieve.

A really basic and cheap antenna would be a rabbit ear antenna that you just on top of the tv although I don't know if those are still made. Some of the antennas now also have electrical source to help make the signal better. A good place to check in to this would be Radio Shack.

Only thing is that the laws in regards to tvs and having the digital signal in all of them are supposed to be going in to effect soon which will make using analog (which is where you use antennas like the one I mentioned) harder to use unless you have a special kind of box to do it. Radio Shack can also give you more info on this.
