I have been doing a work out two times a week Mondays (Chest Triceps) thursdays (Back, Biceps, shoulders)

But I am going to have a week off soon, will my muscles reduce in size over a week? If not hopw long before they begin to shrink?

Your muscles will take a long long time to shrink again! in fact, this break may even do you good. Sometimes if you work out often then your body doesnt have enough time to repair itself properly so having a break will let your muscles properly recuperate. if its a muscle group that you dont use then it will take at least a month or so to decline, but seen as though its your chest, biceps, triceps, back and shoulders they would take a VERY long time because they are constantly in use

I took weight training in high school and my teacher said it takes about 2 weeks before losing muscle mass. Don't know if true, but that's what she says. I've also read body building books and if you are working out INTENSELY than your muscles actually might grow in size in your week off. Muscle is gained by tearing and rebuilding the the connective tissue. Regardless a week off won't do much + or - to your gains.

If ur nt starving urself then ur fine! Because only under conditions of starvation, when carbs n fat reserves are completely depleted, proteins present in muscle tissues are broken down to provide energy to e body...So make sure u eat healthy so that ur body functions properly.

**this is a scientific ans to ur ques

Wouldnt worry too much about skipping a week. Its good to have a break every now and then although twice a week isnt much anyway.

What about legs & stomach?? We all hate training them but gotta be done.
