I really want to get my tongue pierced but can't decide. Do guys think it's hot or cheap and trashy? My friends have said both...

It is both ... alot of ppl figure that tounge rings mean that you participate in oral sex and it is there for the enjoyment. Others , because it looks cool.
I have a tounge piercing ( because it was cool) it has caused me quite a bit of discomfort and tooth damage. I have bitten down on it, broken teeth and also have issues with word pronounciation.
I had to learn to talk all over again! lol
I say get it done .. its removable if you dont like it.

Piercings should be something personal like a tattoo. Do not get one if you need someone elses opinion on wether you like it or not. I had a tongue piercing when I was feeling young and rebellious and enjoyed every (painful) minute of it, and when it was time to be a grown up (groan) I took it out because I outgrew it. Who cares what other people think, if you want one, get one, if it turns out you don't like it, it heals to a point where no-one can tell you ever had one.

To each is own! Some love it and others frown upon it. That's a personal thing for u to decide. Tongue rings chip your teeth and are said to open your body to infection and bacteria b/c the hole never truly heals. I took mines out after 8 years when I read that.

people's opinions will vary - but if people you're around assume you're trashy because you choose to have a piercing, maybe they're not going to be great to hand around with? i have a tongue piercing - some people assume it's for sexual reasons, but i just got it because i like piercings, and that one fitted. there are occasional problems with tongue piercings, but like most piercings if you look after it it should be fine.

it definetly hurts. they say it gets easier as the first week goes by but i think it actually got worse as the first week went by. its a hassle cuz everytime you eat or drink or put anything in your mouth you need to rinse your mouth when your done. dont do it if your just doing it to impress people. and also it doesnt matter what other people think if you think it looks good then do it

if you want a piercing you should get it because you like it and not care what anyone else thinks i''ve had mine done and my famly hate it friends love it but they aren't the one stuck with it 24/7 you are if it's what you want go for it i love mine

boys like it cause some think you do oral sex and you are a freak,but htis boy at our school got one-negative thoughts
