Wait, you think that stories of soldiers dying are good reasons to stay in a war?
That is backwards thinking. We may respect soldiers for their sacrifice for America, but we should at all costs avoid making more of these stories. Remember, these are bookbs. Real people really die.
Also, no good can come out of Iraq. If we stay, we further anger the rest of the Arab world, and just make Iraq more dependant on us. It's a never ending cycle that jsut gets worse and worse as you wait longer.

As the first answer proved, the problem is that people aren't separating the politics from the individuals fighting the war. Who cares if you disagree with the politics and the politicians - the important thing here is to remember that these men and women over there believe in what they are doing! They are fighting for our freedom, for our country!
Hate Bush and everyone involved in the politics all you want, that's fine. But do realize that it's not like most of these soldiers are sending letters or calling home begging to be let out of a pointless war or trying to fire up a protest against the politics of war. They are good, honorable men and women whose stories do touch us. Support them and their efforts and keep that separate from what Bush is doing. Yes, it's because of him that they are there.. but realize that these people are there fighting representing ideals and values that go way beyond just politics.
I'm not so sure I agree with Bush a lot of the time but I will always always be grateful to the troops for what they are doing for us and for those they are helping. No political opinions can ever overshadow that.

We should never reject the efforts of our military. If the time ever comes, they will be all that stands between us and total annihilation. These people leave home, family, friends and go where they are told to go, all for love of country and the ideals it stands for. We can object to the politics that sent them there. Because they stand and fight for our right to object. They are someone's fathers, brothers, sisters, mothers, grandparents, son and daughters. I grew up in the Viet Nam era. It was almost criminal, the way Viet Nam vets were treated when they came home. They were doing their job, defending their country and ideals and trying to make sure that the VietNamese could live in freedom, like we do. The military does the bidding of the politcal system and they (the politician) are the ones who should bear the brunt of our displeasure for their mistakes. If you are told by your boss to do a job and you do it to the best of your ability and someone else comes along and dislikes what you did or thinks it is the wrong thing to do should you be blamed. Would it be fair to you? By the way at present I have two sons in the military and I am proud to say so. I hope this helps you.

in actuality there is no information on the 'information' approximately what's occurring in Iraq. each and every now and then you notice that renowned action picture clip exhibiting a similar marines breaking down a similar door and then there is that old buzz approximately how we killed the huge type 2 guy. now and returned some known gets onTV and say how nicely each and every little thing is going, yet you will be certian he has his arms crossed at the back of his back while he's asserting it. In actual existence the 'Vichy Iraq' government has no actual authority, little or no potential and for the main area it extremely is staffed with the help of hacks hiding out in citadel eco-friendly Zone hoping that they are able to ward off the subsequent incoming mortar around. The actual infrastructure of Iraq is finished #$%$, in basic terms approximately each and all of the knowledgeable definitely everyone seems to be the two in a foreign country or hiding out 1000's of miles from the place they used to stay below assumed names. there is fewer killings by way of fact in basic terms approximately everyon slated to be killed is already lifeless. The sunnis are being bribed with borrowed US forex to no longer shoot at our troops. The shiites are waiting for the U. S. to flow away so they are able to wipe out the sunnis and the so reported as Iraqi militia are ineffective. meanwhile the U. S. taxpayer is watching the Bush Junta borrow further and extra funds to maintain this crackpot thought going and the GOP needs old guy McCain to p.c.. up the place George Bush leaves off. definitely everyone seems to be killed and maimed popular for no longer something. while this began our forces became mercenaries for the Oil Mafia and none of that has replaced. Iraqi oil became meant to pay for all of this mess and the U. S. became meant to be 'safer'. that did no longer ensue. the great question is...why interior the hell hasn't Bush and something of his posse of degenerate reactionaries been arrested, charge, convicted and despatched up? Oh, nicely...that in the time of all risk does not have made the 'information' the two.

I don´t reject their effort, I do reject why are there. This troops (man and women) in Iraq risk their life's every day for a little money but for wrong reason and if start bad end worse. We already loose this war, start a civil war, leave a country in ruins and we are responsible for the dead of 200.000 Iraqis (kids and civilians) and of course around 3.500 Americans, and change the way the world see us.
Why Bush don´t go to North Korea, because every body now have nuclear bombs and choose (after lie to all the world) one country without them. Of course Saddam is a dictator, but how many he kill? 200 o 300. It´s not true in Dar fur in the past 4 o 5 years 200.000 are killed and nobody care. Why it´s easy they are poor, blacks and don´t have oil.

You can't reject their efforts. The war may have begun for the wrong reasons, however, the real reason now, is that if we don't finish what was started, those same terroristic militants that are car bombing and suicide bombing innocents in Iraq, will soon be coming to your neighborhood. if you don't think so, then you are living in a fantasy world with cotton candy clouds my friends. They are already here....waiting....watching. Rest assured, it we fail there, then the explosions will be coming. Then all you left wingers will be crying for your momma, then asking Uncle Sam why didn't we fight them elsewhere instead on here in your backyards. Servicemen and women are fighting on foreign soils today to protect you from that kind of crap tomorrow here! God Bless them ALL!

Knowing the Truth.
On what they were doing out there.
Hurt inside us.
Realise that we are living human kind.
And they were out there for the good of mankind.
Why we must honour them for the place we stand today.
Happy Memorial Day to you all out there.

If we weren't in Iraq there would be no "touching memorial stories"!
The fact that someone died in a totally illegal war has nothing to do with OUR war effort. It has nothing to do with them any longer, does it?
Please tell me why we are in Iraq fighting a sectarian civil war in a country that had NOTHING to do with terrorism or 9/11?
