You height is not affected by stress or emotional struggles. It is hard wired into our genetic make up, 158 centimetres isn't an unpleasant height - works out about 5ft 3 in old fashioned measurements. You may still grow further but don't worry about it if you don't, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. You don't have to be 6ft tall to be beautiful, there are countless gorgeous women who are shorter than you.
If you are really concerned an x-ray can be taken and an estimate be made of your remaining growth from the gaps between your bones.
Hope this helps.

you are not really short. You would be classed as average height. You would be surprised to know how many women you probably look at in pictures are the same height as you. You probably think they are gorgeous but dont see them as short. Kylie minogue for example is even smaller than you. Eva longoria and many more beautiful women are average height. But if you think about it, they dont stand out as being short do they.
At 5 ft 3 inches you dont have anything to worry about. we all want the opposite to what we have. If you were very tall you might want to be smaller. At 18 there is a very small chance that you will grow anymore. I dont think you can blame anything in your family for how you grow. it is genetic. There are probably some people in your family who are not very tall. Dont get hung up about it or it will become a problem for you. There is absolutely nothing wrong with being the height you are.

At 18, it is unlikely you will grow any more. There is not a lot you can do about it. Both my parents are tall, my sister and I are about your height. It doesn't mean you have a genetic problem, you may just take after grandparents who were shorter.
I am not sure about whether psychological problems affect growth, that would be soemthing to speak to your doctor about.
I hope you can find some peace of mind speaking with your doctor. Your height is nothing to be ashamed/embarassed about, it is just who you are.

Pami, I'm sorry to hear about your difficult family situation. Perhaps you can bring your children up in a better environment because of your experience.
As for your height, usually women have finished their growth by 18. A consultation with a physician can confirm this for you, and look into your nutrition to see if any further growth is possible in your personal situation. Good luck.

No, that wouldn't make you stop growing. There is nothing you can do to make yourself taller, just eat right and exercise. The good news is that most people don't stop growing until around 22 or 23, so you may get a little taller still.

Girls stop growing around the age of 17 or 18. So however tall you are now, that's how tall your gonna be for life.
