I had this dream last night that i felt something on my chest, right over my heart, i thought it was a thorn, then i pulled it out and it was a huge disgusting insect, i screamed and showed my friend what happened and she instantly knew the name of the insect (i cant remember what it was but im sure it wasnt anything real because the bug looked really weird.) then when i looked down where i pulled it out there was a huge black and blue bruise.
Does anyone know of any hidden messages in this dream that my subconscious mind might be telling me?

The fact that you saw your chest, to start with, means your feeling overwhelmed by something, which has been caused in the past, which is symbolized by the thought the thorn. Now the insect you saw kinda has two meening, you'll have to think hard to figure out which one it is to you. It means either, you having something or someone in your life that you need to get over, you can't let it go, even though you know you should, or you just need some time relax, and get your thoughts in order. The name given to the creature really means nothing in this case, is was literally you giving something weird, a weird name. The bruise that resulted in all this is a reflection of what is overwhelming you in your life, the pressure from whatever is ovewhelming you, may start to hurt you soon, so take care of it.
Remember, all dreams are what you make them. If you know that something needs to be done in your life, then your mind will keep reminding you of that thing.

maybe it's trying to tell you that the little things that you don't really notice are hurting you in some way? If you didn't notice a huge bug sitting on your chest until it stung you then it might be along those lines. And maybe the fact that your friend instantly knew the name of the bug is an indication that the people around you (your friends) can see what the problem may be even if you can't.

Yeah, insects represent spiritual issues which are related to things in darkness. And this insect is related to a dark and hidden issue in your heart which is causing bruising and pain in your life. But somewhere down the road you remove the issue, but you are still not healed from it.

You recently recalled how your friend in real life has listened to you about great pain in your heart or caused you great pain in the heart, and how your friend was able to help you feel better by knowing what to say. Or you wish for some comfort from something that is hurting you.
