The vet diagnosed my dog with sarcoptic mange about a year ago we got him the revolution and treated it. Now it is back so I got more revolution and started treating it. It isnt getting any better. this is our 10th week. (keep in mind after we got it the first time i kept applying revolution monthly) HELP !!! He is a year and half 70 something pound pit terrier.

He is reinfecting from the premises. Keep up the revolution, as it is his heartworm prevention , as well.
I am wondering if he is getting the right dose/size of Revolution? It really should be working. Is the vet certain that it isn't demodex mange?

The age and basic health and the medical care received are all variables that will have much to do with the length of the disease. We all can see why all animals need to have the required vaccination shots. The tiny puppy could only have gotten it from her mother. I do hope you have spoken to the owner of that poor dog. This is indeed a mess for all of you. I am sorry you and others are going through the disease. Thank You for being so brave to talk about it. It is highly contagious. Perhaps there is information regarding isolation and cleaning to assist in not reinfecting.

okay did your vet also tell you that sarcoptic mange is transferred to humans as well please be carefull and use gloves when touching the dog and wash carefully after every contact with the dog and as far as the mange goes ,find someone who has just changed the oil out of their car and make sure it is completely cool and take some and rub into your dogs coat . I am serious this totally works and I lived on a farm many ,many years and my grandfather used this on his dog and it never got the mange again . good luck .

try a homeopathic vet
I believe there is other medication other than Revolution to use.
It could be since you have used it for 6 mths it is not having an affect, talk to your vet and do not give up.
