It would be a mistake to keep them as part of the same entity.

No nation on earth has its population split roughly in half between two separate landmasses with another nation in the middle.

It was tried once though. It was called east and west Pakistan.

The result was a civil war when the weaker side felt it was being taken advantage of.

The fact is Gaza and the West Bank are already different. With Gaza more religious and supporting Hamas, and the West Bank more secular and supporting Fatah.

It would be much more logical for both entities to be separate countries. Then they can chose who will immigrate where and they can have regular flights between them if they so chose.

But if they want to be one nation they are free to do so. I simply think it will result in conflict.

There are UN peacekeeper in Lebanon and that they have been no longer able to evade the main up-tp-date Israeli invasion and trashing of the Lebanese infrastructure ( international airport in Beruit which had no longer something to do with border incident which Israel used as an excuse) Nor did the UN avert the Israelis as they withdrew from abandoning 3 hundred, 000 unexploded cluster bombs. Israel additionally bombed UN colleges and centers in Gaza at the instant with the excuse that Hamas militants have been using them. nicely, simply by fact the international press replaced into very truly banned there replaced into no catching them in the lie different than the UN replaced into outraged at it and denied it. ( Oh nicely, yet another team that "hates" Israel simply by fact it won't provide it a carte blanche to do because it is going to, whilst and how it is going to). somewhat, Israel controls Gaza ( a large outdoor penal complex) and in the event that they wanted the UN there in an clever presence ( ie. with weapons) the UN may be there, yet of direction conserving the peace only might propose the UN troops might might desire to call out the Israelis to boot as Hamas protection tension wing adult men. And that only won't do, truly simply by fact the Israel with the backing of the U. S. has disregarded significant UN rulings against it simply by fact the get-flow. It desires to play the pastime in the Mid East its own way whether which skill demonizing the human beings of Gaza so as that they might starve and kill them simply by fact they voted for Hamas, ( Jee, ask your self why they did that???!!!--consistent with hazard once you provide human beings no selection however the crazies, then they get desirous to boot the PLO is corrupt and are entire Israeli toadies)

I was thinking maybe just keep them separate, and establish separate municipalities to administer both (assuming we ever achieve peace). They would in effect be two states in the same country. While the Bankers would have to go through a security crossing and passport control to get into Israel, with a trustworthy Palestinian security force screening people on one side of the border and Israel on the other, it could be a very streamlined process.

The Zionists are the victims of Muslim terror, for the simple reason that they maintain a Jewish state, and the Arabs cannot bring themselves to live with this fact.

Israel is the only Jewish state in the whole world. The Arabs have 22 states. The Arabs are not willing to accept a Jewish state in their midst.

Israel thought that by leaving Gaza entirely in August 2005, that the Arabs would get their act together and develop their economy. Instead, the Arabs have seen fit to launch thousands of missiles at Israel's civilian population, intending to kill as many citizens as possible.

Israel, on the other hand, is trying to live in peace. When they do attack, it is with the clear objective of silencing the Arab terrorists. By international law, Israel is totally justified in its quest to protect its citizens. The Arabs are in total violation of international law by unprovoked attacking of innocent civilians in Israel.

The Palestinian Arabs could have had a state already, if they only behaved like civilized human beings. But they have proven time and again that they are not ready to behave, and so the Arabs will have to exist with "only" 22 states.
