What is a typical relationship like after about 5 months? Meaning, is this the point when people start to take it for granted. Get tired of each other or not wanting to spend every second together? My boyfriend has backed off A Lot lately & i'm just wondering what's up. Is he less interested or is it that he's just taking the relationship for granted.

And i usually call 1 to 2 times a day. Is this too often. Don't want to suffocate him.

personally calling once or twice is hardly suffocating. not knowing the two of you but speaking general, it sounds almost like he has lost some interest. He is a guy and sometimes attention defficit settles in lol
spark it up and do something different.. i just hope you are not wasting your time on someone that is not appreciating you.
good luck and just keep in mind he needs to be just as concerned as you if it is ever going to work.

well two things could happen either u cant get ur hands off each other u just want to spend every second with each other or it cools down meaning y'all get more use to each other the initial feeling of love wears off and now the "work" begins"
he is just adjusting to from single to being taken.
so try and not call him so often hey, give him time to miss u and appreciate u, in fact call him only once a day or once every second day, let him call u for a change too.

Great question. Unfortunately there is no single answer for every situation. Having said that; if a guy is in love he is less likely to stray. If it is simply lust; that tends to wear off within the first year. Guys like variety, unless they are truly smitten. Try backing off a bit. Let him think that you don't need him so much. He will think twice about the relationship. He may realize that he doesn't want to lose you, or he may not care if you go. At least you will know where you stand. And if you need a friend to talk to give me a shout at my email address. Best of luck.

Ok. I guess its normal...there are always ups and downs in relationships...the thing is tho..if you dont talk to him then it could get worse. So, call him or something and tell him that u feel that something is off, that he is a bit quiet and uninterested lately and that you need to know why. Hopefully he will tell u the truth and everything will be okay. Oh and about the calling him twice a day, dont. Just dont call him at all and ull see that he will call u. That way he will see how life will be without u...in a small way but it will wake him up.

first off 5 months is the time when a relationship is normally at it's best, because you know each other better and you are able to cater to that persons specific needs. but this depends on who's in the relationship. some people aren't able to give they are takers and no matter what you do can change that. just remember everybody thinks that sunshine is lovely and anybody who wants to block your rays deserves to be in the dark

no...because in a relationship...everyday should feel like its your first day of being together where there's a lot of things to discover w/ each other... a lot of things to talk to;laugh w/; and a lot of reason to be inlove... maybe he's not taking you for granted... have you ever talked to him about what you feel... coz i believe that the only way your relationship will grow is if you do have an open communication... :)

My bf and I started having more arguments around the fifth month. Give him space. If he wants to call/text/get in touch with you, he will. Don't spend a lot of time wondering where he is, when he'll call -- that's a lot of wasted effort. Eventually it gets better. We're at our 7th month and my bf can't get enough time with me. We just ran errands and hung out today for about 10 hrs, and right when I was getting in my car to head home, he asked me when I wanted to see him tmrw! haha I definitely wouldn't have expected that two months ago. Give him space and time and it'll get better. Good luck!

Sit down have a talk. there might be some other reason that he has backed off a bit. Although he might have lost interest at least give him the benifit of telling you whats up.
