No, your doing everything right, like my hamster yours are just not intersted. Instead i hang a ceral chew bar in his cage so he still has something hard to chew on. You can also buy fruit flavourd wood to put in the cage. But all hamsters are different. Mine has never even used his exercise wheel in the whole year i have had him.

If your hamsters are chewing on the bars of the cage instead you must stop this as there is evidance this can cause brain damage. Make sure they both come out for daily exercise .

Our hamsters won't chew on wood blocks either! SO annoying. I've found that fresh vegetables, cut up small, is the best bet. It wears down their teeth and is better for them than a lot of the treats you can find at pet stores. (Cheaper too!)

Also, there's always greenies for dogs. Our rats AND our hamsters eat those.

Some hamsters don't like wood blocks. You could try rubbing some food like celary or carrots on the wood to see if they would chew on it. Or just give them the carrots and let them chew on them and eat them. Those are good vegetables for them to eat.

My hamster does the same thing ! I bought him wood chews, and he doesn't seem interested by them...

Your hamter's teeth will never stop growing throughout their entire life, so you should find something else to give them.

I give my hamster baby carrots. He adores them, he literally jumps on them !!! Just make sure the carrots are washed properly and are not too cold...You can also give them a piece of apple or certain kinds of nuts...

Another thing I give my hamster is cotton balls. He tears them with his teeth and claws, and uses it as a nest.

I have two dwarf hamsters and they wont chew on them either. But they love to chew on the metal bars of the cage. Try giving them some root vegetables, something for them to chew on

My hammies don't chew on the wood chew toys I bought them either. But their teeth are healthy because I bought some hard pellets for them to eat from Petsmart. Also, don't put in toilet paper cardboard rolls. I heard that they could get sick from the chemicals.

Well, there is the chance that they are chewing on them secretly, or that they just don't like the taste! I had the same problem, and i learned that rubbing a bit of lettuce on makes them more eager to chew!
