I have fair skin and would like to get a tan. I was going to the tanning bed but got tired of getting burnt. Any suggestions on how I might get a tan. I don't want to use lotions for a fake tan either.

When I was going to the tanning bed I was only staying in the bed for six minutes and got burned. I don't want to do the spray on tan. It costs too much.

Ask your salon if they have a bed with "browning bulbs". They are a high power bed and may cost a bit more but the bulbs are specifically made for browning your skin, not burning. They usually run about $7-$8 a session.

You might want to try the professional spray tans. Not the mystic tans or whatever but where you go and a person sprays you with like a little spray gun and stuff. I went to a day spa a few times and got it done and I was really happy with the results...if you go somewhere nice they can even do stuff like tan you more in certain area and make you look thinner(like thighs, etc.) I can't remember exactly but I think it might have been around $40 or $50 to get it done. But I think it's worth it cause you wont damage your skin and you won't out turn orange like in the cheap spray tan places. Hope this helped and good luck!

they have the spray tans now. those can look real. with tanning in a bed though you have to start at a very low time. go for even like 4 or 5 minutes in a super bed. you work your way up and you dont burn

Don't use the tanning accelerators. Use a suntan lotion and start slow. If six minutes burns you go for three until you've started your tan. Then you can try longer periods.

If you are like my wife, she just does not tan. She will burn, easily, then peel and be as fair as before. I have enough Creek and Cherokee blood to tan fast and easy. I don't burn often.

Good Luck

Yeah, do not tan. Tanning is the worst sign of age. As in untimely wrinkles, alligator epidermis, and epidermis maximum cancers. My perfect suggestion to you: in case you will be outdoors, yet not thoroughly uncovered, then attempt to placed on shorts and a tank real to abtain some shade. Why do you desire to be orange basically like something of the coastline blondes from Miami? Please do not compromise your desirable epidermis basically so which you would be able to stay as much as what human beings think of is alluring. And continuously, continuously, A-L-W-A-Y-S placed on sunscreen! a minimum of placed on moisturizer with some SPF on your face.

How about getting a "natural" tan, by sitting in the sun?

tanning salons have a spray on tan that works good...i wouldn't keep on burning yourself like that it might cause skin cancer... and when you get older you will have bad wrinkles.
