They don't want to pay you for your extra training.

Think Green!
Personally I don't believe in the words, "over qualified". I believe that you just might present a threat to someone who is under qualified. Chances are you will make someone look pretty sad. May I suggest, try a small company, one man, two man or start up company. You will shine there. You have some good ideas, and anyone that takes hold of you, it is an uphill opertunity.

Since this planet we know and love is going green for power, I asume anywhere you go, will be a wonderful ride.

My heart goes out to you Eric. Rejection is never easy, no matter the situation. But don't take it as a sign of failure or disappointment. Being "overqualified" for a position should make you feel good about your skills. Let's face it, you have more to offer than that company could handle. It's true what has already been said. You would have outgrown them anyway. A wise quote I have always held so dear rings out so true in many ways, and can apply to life's disappointments. It's a fighter's quote. "Our greatest glory is not in never falling, but in rising everytime we fall". Chin up. You were meant to do great things.

You don't need the training and grooming they will provide which also allows them to pay so much more less. They know you will be on the stepping stone for a short time which costs a lot of money for them....hiring and training is expensive. Don't take it as a blow. I would love to have that answer for when someone asked why I wasn't working for that company!

Aaawww I'm so sorry Eric *hug* hug* never mind !!!
Some companies get worried if you are real good & very smart, think you will leave them later down the track, & they don't wan't that to happen I suppose so they pick someone who is not as smart, that makes them to be idiots hey, id rather have the smartest one for the job! *hug*

I'm so sorry, Eric. What it means is they are afraid that they will invest money in training you, and you will move on to something else that is better. They want to put someone in the position who is going to stay in the position for the next decade or two.

You haven't disappointed me Eric. All it means is that they believe ( and probably rightly) that you are too talented for what they have to offer.

Remember this: God closes no doors without opening a window.

You believed this to be your dream job. Now, you know it wasn't. So go out there and find out what is. I know you will succeed. I have great confidence in your talent and ambition.

Anyone as sincere as you will be successful no matter what.

Never give in, never surrender!

Gosh. I'm Sorry Eric.

I'm sure there is a position out there that's more fitting for you and you will find more rewarding.

Cheer up, friend. We're not disappointed at all. You still have my support.

It means that the management sucks! Count yourself lucky that you don't work with idiots! There is something out there that is going to be even better for you. Trust me! And you didn't disappoint anyone. You're still on your way to getting something great! Just take it easy on yourself!

I am hurt for you dear Eric, not for me...
I wish we all could have heard the news that you got what you wanted...
I also happen to think like the others that just because you didn't get this job, that there isn't another better opportunity waiting round the bend for you...
It usually happens just that way...
Do not despair...
You will get something better...

Im sorry to hear that..In the dream job though you had something you wanted to follow, you still should, on Y&A you concentrated so hard on it, if you could find that feeling again follow what you love (Im not saying you should go back though)
