Whatever you do, DO NOT use tap water or bottled water. Those can both contain Acanthamoeba, which can get into your eye and cause an infection.

Acanthamoeba is a microscopic parasite that infects the cornea, is difficult to diagnose and extremely difficult to treat. It causes eye pain and blindness.

Go get some sterile saline solution.

Go to the nearest store and pick one up!

I would not suggest using any other liquid, even what seems like clean distilled drinking water. Although if that is the only thing available and have no other alternatives, it would be the best choice.

id say the salt water thing... ORR i know it soundds crazy but the stuff u get when u first like.. get ur ears pierced... tht stuff is made liek out of the same base and if u get an ear infection from the earing.. contact solution is the best thing to use btw... OR try eye drops. but ur best option is 2 go but some contact solution b/c, and ive tried this, distilled water keeps the contacts preserved, but when u try to put them in the next morning.. they dont stick to your eyeball... like.. they dont go in.
