i want to know who is a real nascar fan that isnt a redneck. im a 13 yr old grl that goes to nascar races and i watch the races every weekend. whos a nascar fan and whos ur favorite driver and WHY? im an elliott sadler fan cuz the first race i ever watched (bristol 2001) i swore whoever won would be my favorite driver. then elliott won so he was my favorite but i never payed attention til i was about 9 or 10 when i went to daytona for my first race. then i was a serious elliott sadler fan and when he moved to evernham my whole family was suprised i didnt go with david gilliland or whatever that guys name is but i stuck with elliott. hopefully i can find more sadler fans out there!

i also have other drivers i like alot my 2nd favorite is jamie mcmurray and jeff gordon ( it bugs me when ppl bash him cuz hes very nice and a great driver. ive met him at an event b4.) also brian vickers and casey mears are ok. congrats on caseys win!

It's nice to see other young female NASCAR fans! I am one myself! My favorite driver is Reed Sorenson. Mainly because when he first came on the scene there weren't many Reed fans. He's gotten more but he's still kinda "quiet." He'll get there. I also like Casey Mears and David Stremme (they branch from the fact they were Reed's teammates in 2006). I like pretty much eveyone actually. I have to go by the drivers I don't like. Hmmm let's say....Juan Pablo Montoya! He is my least favorite driver by far. And not because he's from Columbia or because he "stole" Casey's ride (he didn't) but because the commentators make him out to be a saint when he messes up. That and the fact Ganassi shows favoritism towards him.

You certainly don't have to be a "redneck" to be a modern NASCAR fan. Truthfully while many can only see the cars going around in circles NASCAR has become quite technical. I am a Kevin Harvick fan. He was hand picked by Dale Earnhardt and that is good enough for me. Kevin bring the type of passion to the sport that it was meant to have. He is a practical joker and has fun when appropriate and is dead serious when the occassion calls for that. He may not be the NASCAR champion based on the points process but he is a real genuine NASCAR driver and not someone who couldn't make it another form of racing. I agree that Elliott Sadler is a good guy. You could certainly do worse that cheering for him

Im glad you are coming over to nascar. It sounds like your alset to start watching nascar. The only thing I think I can help you with is tickets. If I were you I would go to Dover. I live in CT and its a half day drive and its an awesome track. PA is a big state but if you live around Pocono its worth the drive from there. Pocono is an ok track but you cant see everything and the racing isnt as good. Good luck...GO TONY STEWART!

Be a fan and enjoy yourself.I started going to NASCAR races in 1960 when I was 7 years old.I still go to events to day.
As for favorite drivers that is your choice I like Denny Hamlin and Tony Stewart.But I also like a good clean race .

I am...I stick with Dale Earnhart Jr just because I think he will still be standing in the end with his own company and will take over his step mothers company and basically win some more races when he hits his prime.. I predict big things for him in this business..
