You'd be better off drinking only water.
Tea is a diuretic, meaning tea makes you pee and dehydrate you, taking all the water away from your body. You should always drink twice as much water as you drink tea, just to compensate for the tea.
If you only drink tea, you will dehydrate and believe me, you do not want to live with the result.
I hope you will use that tea bag in a pint of water instead of a cup...
Also tea has caffeine which is never good when you're fasting.
So how much weight could you lose by only drinking 100% green tea for 5 days...
First, you will lose a lot of water since you would dehydrate very fast...depending on your actual weight and how much water retention you have now, it could be anywhere between 4 (if you're thin) and 12lbs (if you're fat) of...water.
Then you would lose a few pounds because you would eliminate everyday day what you already ate so far and that weight would not be replaced by what you eat since you would not eat anything. I don't know how much you ate just before doing that experiment so maybe you have a better idea of the weight of the food you ate.
Then you would lose some fat reserve because your body would have to get energy from somewhere since there would be no food. Let's assume you need 1,200/day to survive, then you could lose almost 1 pound and three quarter of fat (each pound of fat is 3,500 calories), a little more if you exercise.
Then, of course, your body, being the marvelous machine that it is, will assume that you do not have access to food (because you do not eat) so in order to save your life, it will slow down your metabolism so you won't even need 1,200 calories/day to survive. You will need much less so when you go back to eating normally, it will be too much for your body so you'll get a lot of unused energy stored as fat, even if you eat very little.
You may end up like that woman who eats a lettuce and a yogurt a day and cannot lose weight or those prisoners of wars who survived for years with a handful of rice every day.

Okay, Your body will go into emergency mode and slow your metabolism rate down. You will pee like a racehorse and lose 5-10 Lbs. You will then gain it all back once you start eating again. I'm sorry but it's just plain dumb. In the end you will do more harm than good. Why go through the misery of it? Exercise is the answer. You will feel good and burn off extra calories. Join a class for emotional support.

I just lost 33 lbs in 6 weeks.. I started drinking this drink called xs it has no carbs and no sugars and only 8cal and has 4900% vit b-12 it rocks . I haven't been hungery at all and my energy level is thru the roof. But I will say drink them cold cause they are packed with vitms and vitms cold is not very good but they taste awesome cold I love them. In an ideal world on a regular 2000 calorie diet you would lose about 3 lbs of body fat by not consuming any calories..
But that won't happen.
Your body won't have enough energy to actually burn any fat.. a more successful diet would be to cut your caloric intake in half.. and do a 1000 calorie a day diet for five days. (losing 1.5 lbs)
Running for one hour everyday for 5 days you'd lose about a lb, depending on your weight.

ONLY drinking tea? No other source of food? You might end up gaining weight instead of losing weight once you're off that diet if you're not rushed to the hospital because of it. Your body will go into starvation mode and will hoard every last bit of fat it can get because its afraid of getting no more.

you may not lose any at all.people believe that if they skip meals that they will lose the weight that is incorrect actually if your body doe snot receive enough food/calories it will shut it self down your metabolism will completely slow down.This is your bodies way of protecting it self from starvation.
you will hurt your body that way.if you want to lose weight start a healthy low fat and low sugar diet drink plenty of water and go power walking daily.

you will lose less than you will gain afterwards because all you will lose is gona be water weight and muscle - so it depends on how much of muscle you have.
