the worlds most effecient engine sells for about $3000 to $3200 in Mexico it depends on how much you are getting screwed by the parts seller ... look in the phone book and find "engine rebuilders" and call them and ask about this and see what they say ...............

lol, you dont want another 1999 motor.. they are garbage... look for a 2001-2002.
an average price for a motor for an economy car is around $1000... for a vw... $3000.

Between $2000-3000, but try hard to bargain so you could get it lower.Cheers!
