DO NOT USE A TEXTURIZING KIT OR A PERM!!! They can damage your hair and possibly cause you to bald at a young age. The only way to get waves is to brush ALOT!! I brush 60+ minutes everyday and my hair is spinning with waves. The wave grease/pomade only helps to make your waves look better by laying your hair down and making it shine. Go to a beauty supply store or even to Wal-Mart on the hair care aisle it should have a section that says "ethnic hair" get a wave grease. It can be any kind as long as it says wave hair grease. Put some onto your hair every night before bed all over your hair. Brush you hair really well! Then put a do-rag on or a wave cap (they are different and should be on the same aisle in wal-mart where the scarves are and they're available at any beauty supply store). Wave caps are VERY tight fitting and maybe very uncomfortable so I suggest using a do-rag instead. Wave caps work better though so try a wave cap first if you don't like the way it fits get a do-rag. It takes about a month to get waves maybe less. You have to have a bit hair too. You can't have waves with a bald fade. Keep brushing [my brother brushed a million times a dat at least!] and applying the wave grease.Good luck!
[THE PERSON ABOVE DOESN'T KNOW WHAT HE'S TALKING ABOUT! DO NOT GET A PERM!!!]

The day you get your hair cut is the best day to start this. First, after your cut, apply a texturizing kit such as S-Curl (this softens the hair and adds a slight curl which is a good foundation for your waves---can be purchased at your local beauty supply or drug store). Next you need to purchase a wave pomade( the previous user is correct, it is in a small orange tin can). Next you have to brush, brush, brush. A soft bristle brush is better than a hard brush. At night you should re-apply the wave pomade and wear your Do-Rag. After about a weak you will DEFINATELY start to see the results.

U need to use some type of wave cream and wea a doorag over it.
Go to Target or Walmart and go to the Black Hair Section for Men.
There is this wave product, I think its in orange tin. But just look for a wave product, they always have it there.
Im not to sure on how you put it in but I think theres directions on the tin.
Then once your done, buy a doo rag and tie it on your hair at night. This sets the wave pattern.
You can buy the doo rag in the section as well..
Keep doing this to retain the waves.
I have a friend who did it so much his hair naturally set like that..
Good Luck..

Hi There,
I am not sure what your base hair type is. If it is typical Black hair, then you wil first have to have it straightened with a chemical straightener.
The next procedure should be performed by a competent stylist who will wave your hair with a perm solution. It requires skill, so make sure you pick someone who has performed this service many times before!
