why is it that its ok for a christian to call wiccans crazy when everything about wiccan is natural and earth based? the earth exists does it not? how are we to know that an all powerful guy who sits in heaven deciding whats good and bad for humans exists just because a well written book states it?
i mean.....i read a good book about a dummy that can speak....but i didnt believe it
im open to anything anyone wants to believe, i think to have a religion and passion about something in this day n age is awesome and takes alot of strength, but dont slag others for their beliefs, no religion is scientifically proven n im sick of coping crap from non belivers when their beliefs are just as non proven

I am more apt to believe in "hocus-pocus" than the "hokey-pokey"! The Christians think that is what it's all about- the hokey-pokey!

I don't know about crazy, but the Bible does say that witchcraft is a sin. If God does indeed exist, and He says that witchcraft is a sin, then it is and anyone who practises it is rebelling against God. The Bible does not say that anything that is natural and earth based is good.

I know that in a democracy, everyone is supposed to be tolerant. But this attitude is, ironically, intolerant of a religion like Christianity which says that the only way to salvation is through Christ. Basically what you are saying is that all Christians should respect your religion by letting go of their own beliefs.

Also, if that powerful guy does indeed sit in heaven and decide what is right and wrong, then He created you and I and has every right to do as He wishes with what is His.
I know that isn't what you want to hear, but if the Bible is truth then it is as well. If not, well, at least I have a passion for my religion.

i am a true communist christian goth,..if christians say it is hard to believe in witchcraft, they need to study the word some more,..plenty of scripture that speaks of witchcraft,..you should realize that all other religions are against christianity,..lots of people are against christianity b/c the crusades, pastors getting busted w/prostitutes and whathaveyou,..that just shows that christians are not perfect,..forgiven, not perfect,..i was raised in a christian home and i figured everyone was christian,..why would one not want to be,..i understand why people are anti christ, christians are 'hypocrites', have high divorce rates, and they let this country get to this point b/c they were too busy being capitalists,..now the aclu is capitalizing on the slacking christian community,..the aclu is full of >>>,..science will prove what the general scientific community wants to prove,..i am looking forward to the universe series on the history channel and how off kilter that will be,..big bang theory, not proven,..evolution, not proven,..what are humans, some subspecie of man,..man was created and if you believe you came from a monkey check out the dna, close is not good enough,..were they dinosaurs or were they dragons,..check out luke 12: 49- 51 kjv,..feminists hate the idea of a heavenly father, which is another ancient idea way back to the queen of heaven religion, semiramis and tammuz, which is a form of sun god religion that mant ancient cultures had,..the wiccanite religion based on the earth wind fire and water has some basis to the point that they acknowledge these elements which were created by the god of abraham, isaac and jacob,..science can not prove the bible to be true and it can not disprove the bible, just look at history,..so it must be hard to believe that the bible is true,..or 'if' the bible is true then everyone else is wrong,..well we shall see,..even the ones that think when you die that is it,..we were not supposed to die, but the serpent (also of an ancient religion) did not want man to rule the earth, so the first 'assisted suicide' was committed,..capitalists will sell you anything, especially multiple beliefs,..they do not get my hard earned usd,..a good book about a dummy that speaks, just you watch,..i would rather watch the dresden files,..may as well get a laymens understanding of what the craft of magick and masons and mysticism, psychology, psychics and scientology offer,..did you see the uproar of gibson's passion of the christ movie,..then he tried a movie about savages,..the fallen angels believe in the lord jesus christ,..they do not call him lord, yet,..one must keep an open mind on this journey through life to seek the truth,..

In order to answer the question, apart from the qualifying rhetorical statements that follow, I have to ask: What exactly is there to believe in?

If you want to go the extreme Wicca, which originated as a mixture of superstition, astrology and herbal potions based in pre-literate societies of Europe: there isn't actually a lot to follow. In the modern times, adherents have tried to recreate this ancient practice, but have little basis for it.

Do we believe that there are potions? Sure. Everyone knows that herbs and mushrooms can have varied effects on the body.

Do we believe that the Wiccans think there are "forces" of nature and super-nature? Sure. We know that people believe them.

Is there some revelation? Is there some point to it? I can get herbs at a natural food store. Valerian makes me sleepy.

None of that is going to solve the sin problem, however. Wiccans, like everyone else, have a sin problem. The mantra "do as you will, cause harm to none" is an oxymoron - you can't "do as you will" unless there is a code of behavior, or you will cause harm.

We Christians know that the creation is good, but worshipping it is an offense to the creator because we do have a revelation, a clear message from the creator NOT to do so.

The vatican has held power for a long time so there has been many hundreds of years of propaganda against witchcraft. The thing that most christians don't realize or don't want to believe is that Two of their biggest christian holidays have Pagan roots.

Christmas and Easter

Both pagan... God didn't sit atop a cloud and clap his hands together and bam Adam and Eve. If man is modled after god then why is there man and woman. They should be able to procreate by themselves like god right?

Religion is faith. Faith means that you believe in something. When you have faith in something in your heart you know to be true you feel complete. Let us have our faith. We don't shove it down yours. All we ask is not to shove yours down ours.)0(

I think you are missing the point of what Christianity is about.
Christianity is basically our tool to help us go beyond this world and go to something better, which is God. The world is a limited place and someday it's going to end. God is the only other place we can go and that's why God gave us the opportunity to be with Him. Christianity is the practice of being with God and in His Love. Witchcraft is only something that is a part of this world and will always be a part of this world, so long as it remains... but that will not be forever. God remains forever and God is good. It is better to be on board with God than it is to be with witchcraft.

I don't think Christians should treat you poorly, that is not right, but I do think they are allowed to disagree with you and believe that you are wrong in believing that witchcraft is good. That is simply not true, witchcraft cannot make you good.

I do see your point, and I agree with you, but...
I have to tell you, my one and only experience with "wiccans" in the "real world" was kinda funny. It involved a couple of young teenage (or maybe pre-teen) girls who decided that they had to get rid of the Christian lady on the block, since so many kids gather at my house. I guess they thought that, if I was gone, maybe some of the kids would come over to them, and be witches, I dunno, but they definitely decided that they wanted to get rid of me.
So, they did a "ritual". Now, I'm not quite sure what-all this "ritual" might have included, but it did feature grave-yard dirt...supposedly dug from an Indian's grave at full moon at midnight, or some such hocus-pocus...to be scattered on my front lawn. This the girls did, with gleeful abandon.
Needless to say, I am still here, and my roses loved the extra attention. As for my witch friends, one of the families moved away, and the other now comes here after school, to be with her boy friend, who loves my cookies.
Ahh, well...youth, as they say, is wasted on the young....

What many Christians fail to realize, and the main reason I left the church, is that their religion has spread more lies and crushed more ancient religions than any other I have ever come across. Native Americans? Red skinned heathens, kill them! British Druids? If you can't kill them, convert them! South American native tribes? Kill them and take their gold!

Sorry to say, but mainstream media identifies Wicca and witchcraft with dungeon and dragon and geeky people. I personally worked with a wiccan, she was one of the nicest people i've met. nevertheless i don't think you're crazy

Don't know whom you have been talking to, but, since whitchcraft is in the Bible, most Christians do believe it is done....but....to us, it is something we must not "do", and, no, if anyone states you are "crazy", it's not because of lack of mental stability or inteligence, but probably in the same way that people call Christians "crazy" for believing what WE do.

actually u can believe in what u want to
u wont go to jail for that
but if many people judge u for doing so,maybe somethin is wrong with what u do or believe in

the bible for example has proven a lot, the prophecies that have come to pass, the scientific proofs etc
now if u believe in something that hurts someone, maybe u may want to think about it deeper
