Switch to dark chocolate. It's richer, so you won't need to eat as much to get the flavor. That means less fat. And dark chocolate is actually good for you too.

just slowly start easing it out of your diet. start snacking on dried fruit or nuts. dried cherries and cranberries are a good snack. or make a good nut mix.

(This recipe is almost directly from the Bar Nuts at Union Square Cafe in New York City and their wonderful cookbook of the same name.)

1 1/4 pounds unsalted mixed nuts
2 tablespoons coarsely chopped fresh rosemary leaves
1/2 teaspoon cayenne
2 teaspoons dark brown sugar
2 teaspoons kosher salt
1 tablespoon melted butter

Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
Place the nuts on an ungreased baking sheet and bake for about 10 minutes until they are warmed through. Meanwhile, combine the rosemary, pepper, sugar, salt and butter in a large bowl. Toss the warm nuts with the rosemary mixture until the nuts are completely coated. Serve warm.

stop purchasing the choc. "things"......conciously stop yourself when you reach for the "choc."cookies or choc" bars or choc"cerealls......you need to make better choices. When you have the urge for the choc. reach for fresh cut up fruit or fresh veggies and dip. occasionally melt some choc. and tip fruit into it (not too much but enough you can enjoy)strawberrys dipped, or bananas, etc.....Have fun with it so it's still there but healthier ways overtake the amount of choc. you'd consume* Keep on smilin* Hope this helped*~

stop buying chocolate. don't carry extra spending money, so then you will feel silly if you go into a store and pay for a chocolate bar with a credit card.

Try carob. It's kind of expensive, which will prevent you from buying (and thus eating) too much, and also it is more healthy than chocolate, but pretty much tastes the same.
