Don't we have documents that go back that far and farther?

No, it's right around there. The oldest examples of writing come from Mesopotamia ca. 3300 BCE.

Of course, it depends on what you want to call documentation. The earliest rock paintings date around 40,000 BCE.

Young Earth creationism is a religious doctrine that teaches that the Earth and life on Earth were created by a direct action of God relatively recently (about 6,000 years ago). It is held by those Christians who believe that the Hebrew text of Genesis can only mean a literal six (24-Hour) day account of creation, that evidence for a strict interpretation of scripture as historical fact is present in the world today, and that scientific evidence that supports Darwinian evolution, geological uniformitarianism, or any other theory that may contradict their theology, is usually flawed.

I do not believe this version of the creation

Why can we see stars 13.7 billion light years away again?

I'm sure there are caveman drawings that go back farther than 6000 years but i'll do some research since everyone is lazy......

"As long ago as 25,000-30,000 years BP, humans were painting pictures on cave walls. Whether these pictures were telling a "story" or represented some type of "spirit house" or ritual exercise is not known."

No we don't. The oldest extant documents are Sumerian cuneiform writing on clay tablets from around 3000 BCE.
We have evidence of civilizations older than that. I have been to one of them, Moenjadaro in Pakistan which dates to about 5000 BCE.

The fundies who think the world started in 4004 BCE don't happen to believe in radiometric dating and all the other scientific methods of determining the age of something.

How convenient.

The Museum of Creation, clearly indicates that it was a 24 hour day.. just like we have .. in the Creation story.

This is a Museum, designed to represent Christianity.

Below is a caption under the Creation Heading .. Booth 13
" Creation
Explore the wonders of creation. The imprint of the Creator is all around us. And the Bible’s clear—heaven and earth in six 24-hour days, earth before sun, birds before lizards.

Other surprises are just around the corner. Adam and apes share the same birthday. The first man walked with dinosaurs and named them all!

God’s Word is true, or evolution is true. No millions of years. There’s no room for compromise."

4000 BC is at the edge of what are clearly scripts. Before that it's stuff like the Vinca culture business in Romania and the the Jiahu stuff written on tortoise shells. There isn't an unbroken string of documentary evidence going back that far.

And I see that people are already preemptively calling into question carbon dating.

Yes there are cave drawings and I believe some cuneiform tablets dating further back. But naturally the Christians do not believe in carbon dating or any other kind or empirical evidence that disagrees with their bronze age scribblings.

"But, beloved, be not ignorant of this one thing, that one
day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand
years as one day." (2 Peter 3:8)

I see the usual christian misinformation and outright lies in these responses, but the question remains:
Even if ALL the different dating methods are so allegedly flawed, then why do they all agree..??

You may now apply more denial and ignorance to avoid this FACT..!!
