What kind of liquor do I ask for at a bar? I've been 21 for a while, and I tend to just ask for whatever they have on tap, and usually for a light-colored beer. Or, I'd pick a colorful cocktail drink and become greatly disappointed.

I don't like anything with a lot of taste, like Margaritas. I like Rum and coke because, it just tastes like soda. And I like Long Island Ice Teas, cause it tastes somewhat like an ice tea.

What kind of drinks do you recommend?

the best thing you can do is ask for their best-seller. or ask people who are drinking at that bar.

**know what, i just wanna share this. i really feel bad about my bf's best friend. here in the philippines, we can drink at any age. then when he went to the US, he told my bf that you guys can only drink when you reach 21. i mean, i think it sucks though i'm not into alcoholic drinks. :) you guys f*ck and get girls pregnant at 12 then you can't drink til 21?

What I think you ought to do is experiment with some drinks at home and find out what you like before ordering it in a bar. Have a party where everyone brings stuff for a different kind of drink, and experiment. If you find a liquor you like on its own, you can ask for it on the rocks... like Southern Comfort, or Frangelico.

Other recommendations to try (these are all simple and have only one kind of liquor so they won't turn out too weird):
Kaluha & cream
Whiskey sour
Amaretto sour
Coffee with Bailey's OR amaretto OR frangelico
Bloody mary

Others with more types of liquor but that are very tasty:
Grasshoppers (mint chocolate & cream)
Nuts & berries (Raspberry and hazelnut frangelico and cream)

Good luck!

If you are going to a hectic bar or membership, attempt to stick with beverages with two constituents. You'll get the beverages quicker, more potent, and now not trojan horse the bartender. Long Islands are the exception, you might commonly like the ones. Bartenders constantly can inform who simply became 21 by way of them ordering tricky beverages. Stick to Vodka/tonic, Jack and Coke, simply decide upon your liquor poison and your favourite mixer/chaser.

Good question. It depends on your taste. Are you looknig to chill and buzz? Or are you looking to get loaded? Well, I usually just go and ask for Jack (daniel's) and coke. To make it more interesting, ask for a double shot!!! That shoudl set you off. Enjoy...

for guys...anything that isn't pink, blue, green, or purple isn't manly at all. forget how it tastes. if i saw a guy at a bar with a midori sour, i'd have to question his manhood. stick to the beers and soda cocktails. think yellow or brown drinks only.

just start trying new beers, and try your frinds drinks (if they'll let you) to see if you like them. or if someone has or is making a drink, ask what it is. no one can tell you what to drink. only you know what tastes good to you.
