....what would it be?

This question was posed almost a year ago, and the answers were interesting. How about this group?

For me, it would be to see them revere the eucharist more. My church teaches the elements are 'symbols' of the body and blood of Christ. I think they take that position to be clear they do not hold to 'transubstantiation" (similar to most Protestants and many Roman Catholics, particularly after Vatican II). But I prefer the idea that the elements become, for us, the body and blood of Christ - in the spiritual sense if not the physical.

I attended a Mass once where the host was placed in a position of honor after the service for the faithful to revere - not as an idol but in veneration. I loved the idea.

"Verbum et elementum et fil sacramentum." The Word and the elements are the sacraments (Luther)

I would personally like to see the respect and devotion that existed pre Vatican II. I would prefer the Latin Mass to be offered, not required.More women to cover their heads in respect for the Eucharist, more people to remember to be respectfully quiet when others are praying after Mass and a renewal in the public Rosary.

"Seek and you shall find"

I think I answered this a year ago, and wanted more media. Since then I was introduced to EWTN (Catholic Television). Okay, so I don't get it where I live, but I feel much better now that I know it exists. Also a year ago I was puzzled why the Church didn't do more for ppl in marriages ... well, there are many resources for these ppl. So in short, when I feel that "Why don't we have ..." well, I find that I'm swallowing toe jam (sticking my foot in my mouth) and well, it's always been there. So, I'm finding that when I seek, I find.

yes, meistro, the eucharist. When I was a kid, I didn't pay much attention to mass. But my parents told me to look at the tabernacle - that's where God is.

"My great delight is to unite myself with souls...When I come to a human heart in Holy Communion, My hands are full of all kinds of graces which I want to give to the soul. But souls do not even pay attention to Me; they leave Me to Myself and busy themselves with other things. Oh, how sad I am that souls don't recognize Love! They treat me as a dead object."

I do not currently attend a church, but from the ones i did, I would have more worship time and less preaching. I just really enjoy group worship.

My church = LCMS = Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod

Women in the Ministry. I believe in the passage from Galatians 3, "There is neither slave nor free, Jew nor Greek, male nor female, but ALL ARE ONE IN CHRIST."

I still can't find any "real" Biblically-based prohibition against women in the ministry.

Other than that I'm content.

Church makes me feel funny so I don't go. I worship God, but I just don't think going to church is a necessary part of that. Where two or more are gathered together in His name....you know.

There is nothing I would change in our church. We hear God's word every Sunday and bible study on Wednesday and then we have bingo and covered bowl suppers. What more could we ask for?
