Your DVD burner should have come with DVD burning software, so that's all you will need for burning a DVD. If you have Windows XP or Vista, they come with an image viewer/slideshow program called Windows Image Viewer. It works great and I use it all the time.

All you have to do is name the pictures so that they are in the right order and they will play back in Windows Image Viewer perfectly. The easy way to name them is to put a number in front of the image's name.

For example, let's say you have three pictures called Mom, Dad and Uncle Bill. You want to arrange them into a slide show with Uncle Bill's shot first, then Dad and Mom's picture last. Use Windows Explorer or My Computer to rename the pictures "01Uncle Bill", "02Dad" and "03Mom" (do a right-click on the file name and choose "Rename"). When you run them in Windows Image Viewer, they will run in the correct order. If you have more than 100 images, you'll have to start with two zeros to get it right: "001Uncle Bill" and so forth.

You can't get any freer than what you already have... good luck!
