Yahoo! would be nuts for deleting a category that gets this much activity. Where else can you turn to if you want a good laugh...watch the verbal battles that go on here!
As long as there aren't huge numbers of us committing major violations to the rules (posting porn, abusive language) they will just block the accounts of the troublemakers. Controversy is what makes good spectator sports!

This is my backup category. I'm a top contributor in Books & Authors and R&S. If they delete this one, I will likely stick with the former. No worries here.

they wont I bet. This category has the most action. If you go to any other category on any given night, sometimes you get 3,4,or maybe 5 answers to a question is all. Why would they quit their biggest draw?

Y! is so NOT going to delete R&S. Never going to happen. But I do hang out in Philosophy sometimes (It's like R&S, but kinder and gentler and not as crowded). Also, the Preschool section occasionally (not in a while though) because I've been a preschool teacher for five years and love it (but am now studying to be something else).

I'm a closet lurker in the GLBTQ section because gay rights is very important to me. NH Barritone is always asking really good questions in there. I also try to answer all the questions that involve my town or my favorite musicians.
Oh and I'll sometimes be a geek and go answer some computer programming questions. Nerdy, huh?
That and knitting.
Ok just kidding about knitting.

Remove this category? This category has all the pizazz and sparkle of a newborn star. Yahoo knows this.

I go through all the category's.
This one is the most interesting, if it gets deleted I think a lot of people would stop using this forum all together and look for something better. I have several other forums outside of this one.

Noooo. I wish they would come up with some new categories. It's too bad people can't discuss ideas without being insulting and abusive, (especially those Atheists...haha, joke)!

Government and Politics, a category where people take stuff too seriously and it's really fun messing with them.

I don't have a "back-up" category. I write for my own entertainment and post it for other like-minded folk, and my other addiction is playing Yahoo Towers.
Yeah, I know. A sucker for pain.
