islam and wars?

Question

In WW2 Italy aligned with Hitler.
In the US the Italian group volunteered to fight in WW2. more than any other ethnic group.
Why don't Muslims volunteer to fight now?

It would seem that they somehow don't or won't fight against the other Islamic group that is also Muslim.. Generally speaking because obviously some Iraquis are fighting for their country..Just not enough of them..
I would think that they would get tired of the terrorists, but they seem to not be capabel (in general) of taking action to save themselves..

I did not understand your question. But 2 points: WW2 came to fight agains Italian Fascism and German NationalSocialism. And no Italians nowadays and no Germans nowadays (a part of little "skin head" groups) wish to be ruled by both Fascism and NationalSocialism again!!! And: nowadays Islam is very similar to Fascism and/or NationalSocialism. BYE BYE BYE.

I do not support thiswar in any way shape or form. I will not be apart of legalized murder because our president is a monumental bloodthirsty idiot. If he wants to cleanse the earth let him and his arrogant daughters go fight.

there are plenty muslims in the us military...but why is it any of your concern? your probably the same person who see a person out in there dress and think terrorist so stop complaining about what other people do and worry about yourself.....

by the way the united states are in many wars because we cant keep out of other countries business and not many countries want to oppose the united states anymore...

It won't happen. Here's why.

Islam in Arabic does not mean peace but submission. If Muslims say they are a religion of peace let them explain the following.

In Sura 2:216, Allah, their God, is supposed to have said this to Muslims: "Fighting is prescribed upon you, and ye dislike it. But it is possible that ye dislike a thing which is good for you, and that you love a thing, which is bad for you. But Allah knoweth and ye know not."

Here we see some reluctance on the part of Muslims to fight; but Allah tells them, "I know what is good for you."

There are many Suras in the Quran, which prove beyond doubt that Islam is a religion of violence. Islamic Fundamentalists have used these teachings to justify their actions. Jihad is not a one-time event. It is a continuing operation until the entire world is converted to Islam.

"Fight those who believe not in Allah nor the Last Day, … nor acknowledge the Religion of Truth, from among the People of the Book [Jews and Christians]" (Sura 9:29). Anyone who thinks we can achieve a lasting peace in the Middle East needs to have his head examined.

Muslims say that these Suras apply only during the time of Muhammad. But the Quran does not explicitly or implicitly say that. In fact, Islam divides the world into two houses: The House of Islam and the House of War. The goal of Islam is to dominate the world and Muslims believe they are justified in using violence to achieve this goal.

Of course, there are many Muslims who do not subscribe to the literal interpretation of the Quran. I have known many Muslims and I know the majority of Muslims just want peace and the well being of their families.

What Islam needs right now is a reform movement. There are many traditions and teachings of Islam, which are no longer relevant today. Women's rights and religious intolerance are just two, which come to mind.

Unfortunately, Christians are also guilty of sins against Muslims: prejudice, racism and fear. We are often separated from our Muslim friends because of them.

Still, we must witness to our Muslim friends about Christ, the Prince of Peace, whose love surpasses all misunderstandings.

WW2 wasn't an illegal war. At least not on the part of the US.
Anyone who volunteers to fight without a very good reason is as murderous as any terrorist.

Because they are a peeeeeacefull religion, the Nation of Islam is peeeeeace loving.
At least that's the answer I always seem to get.

because most of them believe the radicals are doing the right thing and a lot of them here are aligned with them and just waiting to rise against the US. Read '....Because They Hate'. It's an excellent book that explains a lot of this thinking.
