I'm not like obese and I checked my BMI (you calculate your weight, height, age and gender) and I'm not overweight. But I know I'm fat, like I'm 25 pounds heavy for my age. I just wanted to lose weight. I don't want to join any programs, and even though I'm not going to go to the gym and work out, I want to excercise. I'm not going to any special occasion or anything so I don't want to rush it and end up the same. I want to lose weight and keep it off. I don't mind doing it gradually. But I don't have much spare time after homework. (even without watching t.v. because I hardly watch it anyway) I have about an hour each day. How can I lose weight? I'm 12 years old and 118-120 pounds (My friends are the same age and 90-95 pounds.)

bmi is not the most precise thing out there - you have to look at body fat percentage - thats what really matters.

find calorie/fitness calculator on the net, enter all your stats and it will tell you how many calories you need a day to maintain, take off 300-400cal off that number and thats how much you need to lose.
eat 5-6 small meals a day (eat every 2-3 hours)
5-8 servings of fruit and veggies a day
8 glasses of water
have complex carbs for breakfast - they give you energy
have lean meat (protein) for dinner - repairs muscle
cardio exercise 4-6 times a week for 30-50min, light weight training
dont consume foods that are made of white flour (white bread, cakes, past etc.), sugar loaded foods (cookies, icecream, candy etc) and nothing fried, oily.
ofcourse you can spoil yourself once in a while with a little treat:)

I determined the e-book to be very informative and convenient to learn. I've misplaced 17 kilos in 12 days, I'm simply worried that I'm wasting an excessive amount of weight, too speedily. I will admit I have not adopted the advisor precisely. I'm no longer sticking flawlessly to the indexed meals and meal plans (however quite often) and doing little or no activity, however the weight continues flying off. It evidently works and if I'd adopted it precisely I consider it might scare the residing daylights out of me in view that of the volume that I'd lose. So thank you once more for the understanding. I've not ever bought whatever like this earlier than in view that they're regularly filled with trash, however 3WD has been a first-rate shock. Get began in these days!

First of all, I would just like to note that you are still growing! At twelve, you're probably still going through puberty! Don't worry about your weight at this time! Your body is changing rapidly and although you might think youre heavy now, odds are that you will even out as you continue to grow. Secondly, comparing your weight with your friends is entirely inaccurate! They may be shorter, and have a smaller bone struture than you! They may be less muscular as well, as muscle does weigh more than fat.

As for exercising ( which I think is a good idea for anyone, overweight, underweight or normal), try a variety of sports to see what you like! Maybe you like to run, play volleyball/team sports, swimming,.. the options are endless! Just remember to get your heart rate (beating) up during your exercise session.

At your age I would be concerned with eating a healthy, well-rounded diet. The eating habits you develop now wil stay with you the rest of your life. So, my suggestion is eat all of the good stuff, fruits, vegatables, grains, beans, lean meats, milk and stay away from junk foods like sodas, cookies, candies, chips, cakes, etc., etc. etc. Fast food is ok once in a while but don't make it a habit because it is quick, easy and convenient. Get involved in any sport you might enjoy and stick with it: running, tennis, weightlifting, etc., etc., etc.
