I don't see how it is any better or worse than getting drunk in company. Except you don't throw up on a complete stranger...

(Just don't drink and drive.) That's the problem area.

I only drink with other people or myself. I only drink on days that end in Y. I quit drinking when the funnel was invented.

I usually drink beer when I am doing my chores on a day off or when I am working on something on the work bench. I have it broke down into job sizes. A six pack job, a 12 pack, a case, etc.

I do have a real rule. Have all the stuff you need for the whole day right at home and don't drive when you start "chore drinking". I don't go to bars either so my wife doesn't have to search for me. She knows she can just come out to the garage and yell at me. This has worked out well for a number of years now.

I've done a lot of that. There's a tendency for it to occur more often when depressed. All the same there are times when one just feels the urge to to do so on a whim or when no good friends are available. For some people it can be disastrous especially for those who need to misbehave under the influence, or drink themselves into a medical emergency.

Maybe if its to excess. It seems an anti social behaviour. Why do you feel the need to get drunk by yourself? Getting drunk is fun that is meant to be shared with your friends. Could the reason you are drinking by yourself be because you are upset or angry at the time? If so this is dangerous

Having a few drinks alone is normal. But if you mean getting pissed drunk then do it with friends...

Getting drunk alone once in awhile is okay... I had to once when I was having issues in my life.

But if you are regularly getting pissed drunk alone, ask yourself why and is it because of a problem. Don't ruin yourself over it...

Not a single problem buddy. Just dont use it an an excuse or escape to not hang out with your friends or do other activities. You still need to do that too and regularly, if you can balance the two ( dont feel weak if you cant, thats probably why you asked this question, ) youll be fine

There isn't A problem with it unless your doing it on A consistent basis, then seek professional assistance. Always remember, it's better to drink and laugh with other then alone.

It either means you're drinking because you 'are' a lonely guy, or you are a straight up alcoholic!!! Sorry to say but alcohol is best enjoyed with a couple of good friends.
