You can-- if thats the only thing you drink!. Losing weight happens when you have a deficit of calories at the end of the day. If all you drink is tea ( of ANY KIND) with no cream sugar, just black, and eat no food whatsoever, you would of course lose weight. However, you wouldn't get enough nutrients that your body needs to function, you will be hungry, and will probably binge on food at the end. It's much better to just eat balanced meals and exercise to create that calorie deficit (3500 calories = 1 pound) to lose weight.

this is as a meal replacement. So just drink the tea for like lunch and yes you will lose weight. I would so crave a subway sandwhich and a coke though...
