I was watching Tears of the Sun last night and one of the S.E.A.L's had a mohawk are those aloud with the 4" length 2" bulk rule that the NAVY has?

The SEALs kind of have their own thing going. The mohawk you saw was actually pioneered by the Airborne in WWII. That was a tribute to them. I don't know anybody now-a-days who wears it.

they do not allow mohawks. They shave all guys hair the same: 2 cm buzz. Watch navy seals training on youtube, NONe o fthem have a mohwawk

No, that is against military regs. The regs also goes on to say it cannot be a Faddish cut, nor one that unprofessional in appearance. With that said, the Military Police do have CID agents and some other MOS's that do not conform to the regs in special circumstances (undercover etc.).

Special force soldiers do not adhere to the same standards as other soldiers. I am in the Army as a 96d, counter intelligence, and we are not required to follow normal regs once you complete training.

for the regular military, no. for special Ops and certain individuals, the rules are relaxed. It's all about blending in with your surroundings.

no a mohawk isn't authorized,but you can do a suitable military haircut that sorta resembles a mohawk

you know, i wondered about that myself....but.....i'm sure there has to be a waiver for special ops missions, etc.
