Physicists believe now that there is no such thing as Time. That things happen the way they do and WE put OUR interpretation of TIME onto the Universe/World-at-Large.

However, to answer your question, YES, as you get older, the years 'seem' to pass faster. They don't, but as you gain experience things don't seem so disconjointed and seem to flow more smoothly into each other. It blows!

Think of it as learning to drive a car or anything you learn NEW. At first you have to THINK about what to do and where and how to do things, then after a few days/weeks/months, everything seems to fly-by because you've adjusted to the new cell phone, tv remote, car, computer, game, etc. Its like that.

Nope, it's just as you get older you have more things to take care of so it always seems your running out of time. I checked this against a 12 year old watch and my new one. I min was still 60 sec and 1 hr was still 60 min.

Yes, it's very true.

The older you get, the more you learn about yourself.
You discover the things that are important to you and you know what you want to spend your time doing.

By then, you don't have as much time left, so it really seems to fly by.

It certainly seems to. Of course it actually doesn't there are still 24 hours in the day. Maybe it is because the older you get the more you come to realize your own mortality.

Okay, folks... now for the REAL and CORRECT answer to this question!!!

No. The rate of time does not pass more quickly as you get older. HOWEVER....

Your PERCEPTION of that time changes because it becomes a smaller PERCENTAGE of your life as you grow older.

Example:

When you are 5 years old... one year is ONE-FIFTH of your LIFE... WOW.. that's a large PERCENTAGE of your life... or percieved as a LONG time.

When you are 50 years old... one year is ONE-FIFTIETH of your life... a whole lot SMALLER a PERCENTAGE of your life. One-FIFTH of your life is equal to 10 years... now.. that's a larger number of years... but the original time period, the one year, is by percentage a smaller portion of that life, and is thereby PERCEIVED as passing by much quicker.

Therefore, as you grow older, time marches on at it's same pace, but perceived by the person to pass more quickly because it becomes a less "significant" portion (percentage) of that life.

I have 7 children.
I work more than full time.
Let me tell you, time gets moving pretty quickly when you get this much going on.
