I'm Christian and I accept it.
I've seen it happen, so I would be silly not to accept it.

I think it has to do with the fact that Christians think that God would never allow it. However, that's only based on the little I know about Christians.
However, as an atheist, I have to say that people are NOT born gay. It may all be chemicals, but the chemicals don't directly affect personality. Influences may apply, and by evolution, the genetically gay should have all died out by now.

I agree. I am christian also. In my humble opinion it is the ACTS of the gay person that is an abomination. God said that being a homosexual is a "shame" . God said that they were/(are?) idolaters. I suppose that is why they are born to it.
But some good advice to them is to try to abstain, and since that isn't too likely then keep it to a minimum and as clean as possible. This is good advice for heterosexuals also , keep it clean and natural. Because some of the unnatural acts between man and woman are just as much an abomination as what gays do.

My sister was born an epicleptic. That doesn't make it normal or OK. Even if you could prove the "chemical" thing (better educated scientists and doctors have never proven it conclusively) the only thing for certain is that at least some people professing to be gay, did indeed "choose" the life style. And who you choose to sleep with, is most definitely A CHOICE!!!

I am a Christian and personally I don't care what your sexual preference is but don't like being told it every five minutes. Hey we all have sinned and far short of the Glory of God. Now that I have said that ....What does it matter what Christians think if you don't care what we believe? Seriously who cares if you like the same sex you don't hear me on here talking about my sex life. This is personal and should stay that way.

Why should we JUST accept it? You first have to prove beyond any reasonable shadow of doubt that people are indeed born gay. As far as I know, people are only born male or female. What the brain thinks is irrelevant to the physical traits. To check anatomy just look into the mirror. If you see a male, then it means your counterpart must be a female and vice versa.

So, people are born pedophiles? Are they born with sexual desires for their pets? Are they born incestuous?
Body releases chemical reactions based on thinking. Thoughts do it. This is the flesh. And iniquities (sinful addictions) are passed onto the 3rd & 4th generations of those who make the soul choice to hate God (use Gods name in vain, or bow to idols, make nature god, etc.) This is a conscequence of the sin of hating God. So, it is worst for each generation that hates God in the generation sin.

Because the jury is still out on that issue.
No "gay gene" has ever been identified.
What we can agree on is that everyone is a sinner, and Jesus forgives sins.
The "Nature vs. Nurture" Debate is a moot point. The real issue is that once a person hears the good news of the Gospel, THEN they have a choice to continue in sin, or come to Christ.

Actually if this was true, then identical twin studies would show one hundred percent collaboration between twins. Instead, we see about fifty percent of identical twins who have a homosexual sibling are also homosexual themselves, versus about twenty five percent in fraternal twins. This indicates that it is probably partially genetic and partially environmental. Besides, it's a pretty strong statement that you are sure that all homosexual people are born gay when I'm quite sure scientists don't even know all the mechanisms.
Also, even if homosexuality is entirely genetic, it is still listed as a sin in the Bible, much like every other sin. I don't have much sympathy, because although I am not homosexual, I was still born sinful and am still responsible for my sins (and they are abundant) in spite of the fact that I was born that way.

Why does anyone need other people's acceptance. Christians expect to be persecuted, that was foretold -- this means non acceptance.
Live your life as you want and accept the responsibility for your actions -- that is the adult way.
There is no way that a Christian who reads his Bible can put a seal of approval on this particular life style -- no way. But why should you care if you don't care about being a Christian?

It is a waste of time to tell christians that homosexuality is not evil. After all, christians do not make up their own mind. If you convince the preachers that preach this hate, then all their sheep, I mean flock, will follow suit. Otherwise, they are not allowed to listen to evidence and change their mind. Remember, evidence is an excommunicated word.
