I've learned this is a stigma non-Christians and atheists have promoted against Christians. These days, it's one of the most peaceful, tolerant, etc. religions.

When I think of Nazi, I think of Islam. About the only difference, beside being Germain or from the middle east, is the Nazis were open about who they were and were able to amass and lead massive armies against the world. Muslims cannot get along long enough to organize an army of build the necessary armament to go to war. They have to hide behind women and kids to fight their war. Their religion teaches them to kill or work to dominate non-muslims. The ideas between the two are the same. They are better than everyone else and so, the rest of the world must die or serve them.

Look at what Christians to all over the world today. Everywhere you turn, they are helping people.

I think humanitarian, good people.

I certainly do not bypass with a million. i think of it somewhat is a real mistake, to conflate what occurred below the Nazis with different genocides. there's a issue between 2 and 3 - the be conscious has been used interchangeably in the two senses, by potential of Jews and by potential of others. some Jews experience strongly that with the aid of be conscious's resonance with the 'burnt alternatives' of the Temple, and desirous to sacralize what became into so profane, that it will persist with basically to the Jewish victims. yet we don't have yet another good be conscious to describe the full horror of murdering targetted communities in that era, which includes Roma and Sinti, disabled and mentally ill human beings, gays and lesbians, Jehovah's Witnesses, and so on. those communities have been particularly targetted for who they have been in themselves, something that could not be replaced, or became into seen that way by potential of Nazis (subsequently the homicide of human beings of Jewish ancestry who have been Christian converts or in any different case exterior the Jewish community). i comprehend i take advantage of it in the two senses, and take it in any different case finding on the context. Which i assume does not somewhat help, yet is the fact.

I don't think "nazi," but I am deeply concerned by a particular brand of christianity that is characterized by extreme political involvement, vanity and self-servitude (organizations that seem to be primarily concerned with stadium sized churches and A/V equipment), and theological inflexibility (they have only one line of thought in religious matters and ostracize alternatives). It seems to me this brand of christianity is acting out the corruption and decadence of the medieval catholicism by focusing on the achievement of material wealth and political power. This brand of christianity does cause me a good deal of concern because they seem not interested in "giving to Caesar what is Caesar's" they are becoming Caesar. I personally could do without another holy roman empire.

One finds some christians arrogant because they simply are. They mistake righteousness for self-righteousness and complete miss the call for humility and a life of servitude to others and meekness. I think that certain christians think that they have a special angle on the world that gives them license to judge others.

Well it depends, if you're referring to the Christians in the time of the Roman Empire, I think of people who were prosecuted for their beliefs.
But if you are referring to today's Christian that are in the news I think of the Christians as the ones prosecuting others for their beliefs.
I know, that not all Christians are those scary ones that you see in documentaries like Jesus Camp, but when those are the ones in the lime light you can understand why people who do not share their beliefs are turned off by them.

Friend, I might seem strange to you but I don't think "Nazi" when someone says "Christian."

Why do you ask? Is that what you think? Can you explain why and perhaps you can enlighten us or be enlightened?

Hypocrites. Myself included. Most are not open-minded enough to even realize it though. Judgment is so clouded by faith sometimes that none listen to reason.

You see, my point has already been made.
