Scott B., No I am not trying to stir things up. I heard that there is a Sura in the Koran that says "the land of Israel belongs to My people the Jews"and I am asking a legitimate question to legitimize or negate what I heard in a non accusatory way on a forum that is designed for questions.

I don't believe that is in the Koran. But it is written in the Torah. That Israel is the LORD Gods firstborn delivered from Egyptian bondage to the promised land, and the promised land is from the Egyptian river to the Euphrates river.

Why does it matter?

Just as the bible is not a metes and bounds deed ceding land to anyone, the same applies to the Koran.

It should make absolutely no difference what these silly old books say. Those people are long dead and gone, and should have no impact on today.

but the quran did say that jews were once granted with specialty and land of their own. until they disobey God, God took away all the privileges. and their land as well, as you can see today they have no place on earth (no offence, its fact and history)
