Technically, yes a boxer can lose its claws and survive.
A human would also survive if someone chopped off his/her fingers and toes at the knuckles.
It wouldn't be pleasant. It would make life uncomfortable and difficult. It would make everyday activities a challenge. It would screw up your balance and ability to walk/run. But it would be survivable.
Would a vet de-claw a boxer is a question you didn't ask, but I will answer it anyways: Doubtful. This may be considered illegal or animal cruelty in some places.
***HERE'S SOME HELP IF YOU NEED IT:
If you have a boxer and his nails are scratching things there are a few things you can do:
1. Get his nails trimmed by someone who can also use a GRINDER on them. This will smooth them down so they don't snag on things after they are trimmed. Keep them short and smooth so you can't hear them on the floor when he walks.
If this isn't enough:
2. Get NAIL caps for the dog. Have a groomer apply them first and learn how to do it yourself.
Nail caps are a vinyl cover that covers the dog's nails and helps prevent the nails from scratching furniture, people, etc.
Here is a link to a site called soft claws:
http://www.softclaws.net/
A good groomer in your area should be able to help you.
3. Or, if this doesn't work and the claws are a big problem, get rid of the boxer. Contact a BOXER rescue group in your area and surrender him.
www.petfinder.com should have a link for your state boxer rescue. If not, google the national breed club or try the akc site (www.akc.org)
A boxer rescue will take him, put him in a foster home and evaluate him and match him to a family. They will do reference and home checks on the family and most rescues reserve the right to take the dog away from the adoptive family if they mistreat him. Legally, the boxer cannot be given away or sold by the adoptive family. A rescue will take back a placement at any time. So a rescue would ensure that your dog will always have a home where he is well taken care of for the rest of his life.
Sorry this is so long, but I thought you needed more than "shame on you, don't do that" :)
Peace.

the dew claws can be removed.....it's like the thumb. most vets do this when they are on a day or 2 old. but to remove every nail is crazy and you would never find a vet to do it. it would thrown the dog off balance and it would stumble instead of walking. so no save your dog and don't declaw

These nail caps might solve your problems. Knowing the problems a cracked nail will do to a dog I suspect declawing would cripple them for life.

Please dont even try and find anyone to do that!! You can file their nails down or maybe even cut them. I know alot of boxer owners use a dremel tool to file the nails.

That is cruel to do to a dog, or a cat for that matter!!!!
Many vets will refuse to do this, and it is outlawed in some counties. Any vet that does this I would seriously run away as fast as I could!
Dogs need their claws, and their tails, and they NEED their ears in a natural shape!!!
STOP MUTILATING YOUR BELOVED DOGS!!!!!!

I would not advise that for the world. Bad enough for a cat. That is just plain and simple cruel.
