I would not assume that someone was a bad person just because they are an atheists. I don't want anyone to go tho Hell. I am sure though, that anyone who does not live for God will go there.
How do I view those who are atheist? I don't know anyone who is. So I can't say on a personal individual basis. I can only tell you what I think of what I know about atheists. I think they are wrong. Because I know without a doubt, God is real. I think it is sad that someone would go through life and never know or feel the touch of, God or to have the sweet assurance that he is there to help you through this life. To know that you have a home in Heaven, where someday will live with the Lord forever.

It is not the duty of a Christian to determine whether or not you are a bad person . We love you anyway , but in the great scheme of things , what we as Christians think about you isn`t the issue . It is between you and God after your last breath on earth ! That is when the determination will be made. Again , it is not a "judgment" by a Christian about your denying God . It is what The Word of God says` that we are in tune with , not ourselves . You believe a certain thing to be false , that we believe to be true . Again , that is your free will choice to make , to not believe , just as it ours to believe . You most definitely will not see a true Christian mocking you and making fun of you because of your choice . Christians take it on the chin minute by minute from unbelievers , I can`t believe some of the insults and other things that are said against us on here , can you ?? Anyway , no we don`t think you are bad , just on the wrong side . Nor do we think we are better!! That`s probably the way you feel too , and we can live with that . I guess this would sum it for the way I am ...Jesus say`s in Matthew 5 : 10 - 12 ... Blessed are they which are persecuted for rightousness` sake : for their`s is the kingdom of heaven . Blessed are ye , when men shall revile you , and persecute you , and shall say all manner of evil against you falsely , for my sake ..Rejoice , and be exceeding glad : for great is your reward in heaven : for so persecuted they the prophets which were before you ....These instructions were given by Jesus over 2,000 years ago , and the proof of the truth in those verses is found right here on yahoo answers in questions` and answers` put forth by unbelivers ... Hey , look at it like this , we`ll all know the answer a 100 years from now !! May God Bless with Peace and Understanding ....PS . Regardless of what most of the so called Christians on here are saying about having ' Atheist friends . They need to make sure they are who they think they are ?? As it is stated in Ephesians 5 : 10 - 12 ... Proving what is acceptable unto the Lord .. And have no fellowship with the unfruitful works of darkness , but rather reprove them .. For it is a shame even to speak of those things which are done of them in secret ... ***This is where most Christians fail and drift back into the world , when they disregard what God has told them about associating with unbelievers . Still doesn`t mean we think bad about atheist , or we think we are better , just means that there is nothing in common in our lifestyles , and God tells the Christian that is not to be ! There is a verse in the Bible that say`s " to not be unequally yoked ". This is why it is so difficult for a Christian to stay focused ; the Bible is not a buffet , where you get to pick and choose what you want to believe , it is all or none !

No, I just don't believe it. I think when an atheist's life is threatened or things get really bad, that you still invoke the name of God. I also believe it takes more faith to not believe in the creator, than it does to believe.
If you were a sincere seeker, I would hope you would be very sure you know everything about this subject because if God does exist, and millions of us are convinced He does through personal experience, you truly would be condemned to an eternity separated from God, and the agony of the punishment is in direct relationship to your degree of rebellion and denial of your one true God.
Let me challenge you to read a book called "The Case for Faith", by Lee Stroebel. If you read that book and still deny God, you at least have given it some research.
God bless you and may God open your eyes, that the devil has closed.

nicely, whilst a Christian says "you are going to hell" they actually desire you would be stored so which you does no longer might desire to flow to hell. whilst a Atheist tells you to "flow to hell" they actually desire there replaced right into a hell so which you would be able to flow to. you're spot on that the two are believers. I propose it, the two communities understand the certainty. even although they might get overzealous, i admire Christians extra clever. they are only happier over all. something approximately believing 'God has your decrease back' places human beings in a extra clever temper than "you're a fluke of the universe" Christians do get uptight approximately Evolution, yet ya understand, i haven't met too many Atheists who somewhat know it. whilst replaced into the final time you heard an Atheist say: "Christianity persists simply by fact it conveys a survival benefit on people who have faith" that's Darwin's concept appropriate? and then there is that stupid @ss fact that faith is the reason in the back of conflict, whilst any Darwinist knows it truly is organic for animals to form communities to flow take what they want. Christians have faith the devil is had to make guy misbehave. while Atheists have faith misbehavior demands faith. howdy, i've got have been given Christian & Athiest friends, and that i admire 'em all. The the two have faith the different team is worse. and that i do no longer think i understand whos appropriate. ;-)

As an atheist, "normal" sophisticated thinking Christians (i.e., the ones who accept evolution and rational social thought) don't care.
Some fundamentalists, however, have accused me of being a satanist. How is that possible when I don't believe in Satan? The also think that I have no reason not to commit murder and "fornicate in the streets" as if I'm not a decent human being.

Absolutely not. Atheists are people, just like anyone else. I don't automatically think they are bad people, just because they are Atheists. I believe anyone can be saved. I simply disagree with their outlook on God and the Holy Bible. That doesn't mean as a group they are bad people. In fact, it is probable that many are very good people. God bless them all and reveal the truth to them.

I'd have to say no. I can't speak for every Christian, but I know that not every Christian immediately will discount atheists and consider them bad people. It's unfortunate that the more abrasive and louder people are easier to hear, see, and remember.

No, I view atheists as people more concerned with being funny and attracting attention than agnostics, who seem genuinely to be seeking. I have known many atheists and they are usually witty and intelligent, but less inclined to compassion, selflessness

Most evangelicals do, which is a shame.
I'm a Christian but I'm not an evangelical. It's ridiculous to think someone is a bad person because of what they believe about a higher being. It's what's in someone's heart and what their intentions are that matters. There are a lot of atheists out there who are very good people, I think, and many are better than a lot of Christians.
Because of this, it is really really easy to see why someone would not want to call themself a Christian.
