1.Farewell to God, by Charles Templeton
2.From JW to atheist...found online somewhere.
I've also read some new age books, Dianetics, and even some wicca books as a teenager.
I read all the time, a wide variety of books, and try to look at both sides of an issue.
I am still a Christian.

First I question your premise. I have found only a few atheists have actually read any material by Intelligent Design advocates. I know this because most who criticize don't understand what they are actually saying so they resort to making personal attacks and nonsense statements about intelligent falling and such. I have no problem reading any material that is available. I recently read a debate in time magazine between Dawkins and some theologion named Collins. I have to admit I wasn't impressed by either of them. I use to believe evolution in high school but a few years back became aware of material that showed the deep unresolved problems that have arisen. One book called evolution a theory in crisis was written by an agnostic and actually spurred those who are some of the leading advocates of the intellgent design movement. Often i hear people claim the have no peer reviewed work which is verifiably false and I also hear that they are doing no lab work which is also false. Yet these accusations continue which agains demosntrates to me that not to many people are very aware of who and what is being said and done. I suggest looking up the names Doug Axe and Ann Guager, and Stephen Meyer. I would actually like to purchase some of the debates as I find them interesting and lively at times. I should note many of the books I read quote regularly from sources such as Dawkins and others who are proponents. But I have no worry whatsoever in reading any book. georgeous... I think it would be hard to find an unbiased book. asevery person is subject to bias. and if you are supporting one idea over another than yu are also biased. I will say this that the inteligent design proponents avoid making personal attacks. Questioning peoples intelligence because they disagree with them.

I read just about anything I can get my hands on, as long as it's well written. In fact, if I had to TRY and find books that were written from "my point of view", I'd have a pretty short library. Even Christian books usually have wide varieties of opinion when it comes down to it.

I don't think we should expand on reasons not to beilieve. In no was is this ignorance, so don't even get that into your head. It's just that it's so hard for even the strongest Christian to believe at times, that we shouldn't pollute our minds with any reason not to believe. Because, then we start thinking on it, and start saying"wow, that makes sense". The thing about books opposing Christianity is that they are SO overanylized, and overintellectuallized.
