Guys Only
A hypothetical one for you.

You've been dating a girl that you REALLY liked but you kept doing something like being late without calling, even though you're not up to anything bad and despite repeated warnings that it was rude and unacceptable to not contact your girlfriend and she'd asked you before to let her know if you were going to be late, and you agreed, but you ignored it and did it again, and she dumped you because of it.........

Would you:

Give her a few days to cool down then call her? If so, how long?

or

Wait to see if she called you?

or

Keep your pride in tact and no longer want to have any further contact?

Remember, you're feelings for this girl are DEEP.
What would you do?

It's been nice knowing her.

There is more than one person who can form a perfect couple with me. But:

Think about it. Obviously, in your example, I have something in my life or my make up that makes being on time not possible most or all of the time. (In my own it's true: most of my professional life does not have a clearcut end time and that has a knock-on effect on everything following.) The second part of this is that likely the person I would have to call is going to always react badly to it when I call and I will repeatedly be put in the position of essentially pleading with her to forgive me, to still want to see me. We are BOTH ADULTS! She has to confront the fact this is a part of my life and can she handle it? If she can understand it's not a carelessness toward her and lack of respect for her, then we can move forward. If not...

It's been nice knowing her.

Well, call her! Girls like being called. If a guy doesn't call a girl, she'd probably get depressed and wonder why he doesnt have the time to talk to her... Or that maybe he doesn't want to talk to her.

Really, call her.

AND! If you're going to be late, you SHOULD contact her! If not, make sure that you are going to be there on time!

That's a stupid reason to break up with him. Seriously, If I was him I would make you sweat about this. Just drop it call him!!!!!! If he is really into you, Why are you knowingly hurting him? to be honest if he is a strong person, Dont expect him to call you back. Remember what they say....."You dont know what you had until is gone"

No further contact...and that has less to do with pride than you think.

I wouldn't look back, even if she called I would move on.

are you sure this guy likes you that much? if he did he wouldn't do all those things. I wouldn't put myself in a situation like this guy did if I really loved and respected this girl.
