I am very afraid of seeing blood since my childhood. I feel dizzy when I see even a small amount of blood. I have fainted many times after seeing my own blood from very minor injuries. Not only the sight, even thinking of blood makes me dizzy. I am feeling very uncomfortable while writing these lines!
How can I overcome this?

Honestly the best way to overcome something is by confronting it.

I used to be extremely scared of the movie "The Exorcist" and I was pretty much traumatized by this movie. I was so scared to the point where someone made me cry one time when I was 23 because they were bugging me trying to scare me. (I'm 25 now)

So one time I just decided to watch the movie and just confront my fear with that movie. And as of now, I can honestly say I am not scared of it.

Just remember that fear closes your mind.

I hope you can overcome your fear. Best of luck!

I have found the best way to eliminate a fear is by realising it's illogical in the first place, then by engaging the fear. I overcame fear of needles by becoming a blood donor. Maybe that will work for your blood fear too?

Try not to look at it. Don't think that you are fearing blood. Say to your self "I'm not afraid to see a bucket full of blood." It's just blood and it can't hurt me. You have to fight your fear or else it will eat you up whole. Then you will become a coocoo head. You will end up in psychopathic hospital. you don't want that, do you??? Fight it man! That's just a bad habit you acquire.

First you have to find out what makes you have this reaction to blood. Did you witness a tragic accident when you were younger? Or were you involved in an accident? Read up on phobias. hey I'm scared of roaches..i had to confront the nasty boogers in order to move on with my life. I still hate the creatures though. Talk to a therapist. They have treatment for phobias.
