" i keep seeing christians who say that they have never read the bible"
Really? Then I would wonder if they are merely professing Christians instead of true born again Christians. A baby doesn't need to be taught to desire it's mother's milk and a Christian should have a similar hunger for God's Word.
1 Peter 2:2 As newborn babes, desire the sincere milk of the word, that ye may grow thereby: 3 If so be ye have tasted that the Lord is gracious.

I read my Bible and I am in a Bible study (for 3 years now). I also read books from people (mostly nuns and priests) that have studied the Bible extensively and feel as though I can take their word. But when in doubt, my Bible is close at hand and I can look up anything I need to.

I love this question! As a christian there is no excuse for not devoting time to the studying(for the Bible tells us to not to merely read) the scriptures. As a business owner, full time employee, part-time student, husband, and father, I still find time to study my Bible. There are versions for PDA's and smartphones of all sorts. Bibles come in sizes small enough to fit in your pocket and large enough to be an accent item on a coffee table. Also, the entire Bible can be found on cd rom, dvd, and audio cd' and tapes for the car, office, and home. NO EXCUSE!!!!!!!!!!

which may be a stable element. The Bible encourages faith to be in conserving with documents. in case you a minimum of analyze John, Acts, & Romans you have an extremely stable theory-approximately what Christianity is approximately even although. P.S. basically in case Dayna does not come back appropriate here. the clarification to examine the warm testomony first is that it explains the previous testomony. It shows the prophesies that have been fulfilled. It shows Christ and salvation. the previous testomony is quoted somewhat plenty in the warm testomony simply by fact it explains it. the previous testomony components a thank you to Christ and is composed of the prophesies. So, in case you recognize the warm testomony, you will understand what the previous testomony is speaking approximately extra advantageous efficient.

I have read all the New Testament and probably about 60% of the Old Testament. I just found the Old Testament really hard to understand until I started listening to a radio pastor so hopefully before long I will have read it all.

I am not a Christian, but I do find that I pick it up and read it from time to time, as I would anything else I wanted to learn about.
Some of it is interesting, some of it is scary, some of it makes a lot of sense and fills me with peace, some of it contridicts and confuses me!
I can not profess to having read it all... but I have studied it and will continue to do so. I hope to find a copy of a Torrah and a Koran as well to learn from one of these days that I might read.

I have read the Bible all the way through, now I have to admit I have my favorite passages, some chapters and verses are hard to get through...I've heard Leviticus described as medicine, tough to get down but good for you once it's taken

I have read the bible cover to cover many times and continue to read it. That does not make me anything special but it does give me the confidence to know that what I have learned was on my own and not inherited from another.
