You won't. That is very dangerous. Eating less than 1300 a day will put your body into starvation, and you will store everything you eat as fat instead of burning any calories. You need to eat at least 1300 calories a day of lean proteins, fresh fruits and vegetables, and whole grains to fuel your body. Drink lots of water and take your vitamins.

If you really want to lose weight, you need to eat this diet cutting calories but NEVER less than 1300-1500, and exercise at least 4-5x a week for at least 45 minutes, including cardio and strength training.

I do not think how much weight would be the issue. Only consuming that amount of calories will send your body into what is called ketosis. Basically what that means is that your body will start to "eat" it's own enzymes and you will basically starve yourself to death. This will eventually result in kidney failure and could cause permanent damage to parts of your body. If you wish to lose weight, then use about 1500 calories with a healthy exercise program. If you have to go less with the calories, then no less than 1000. That is so so dangerous to your overall health. Your body will rebel and once you end you "diet" your body will try to make up for what trauma it has just been through and you will most likely gain back what you have worked so hard to lose. The healthiest way to lose weight is slowly and consistently. If you do the fad diet, it will come back and most people gain more than what they lost in the beginning. Of course, always talk to your doctor before starting any diet.

So your body mass index is between 20 and 21 and "normal" (for an adult) is 18.5-24.9. You sound about right to me!

500 calories per day is too few. You'll probably end up so hungry that you won't be able to maintain this plan and fall off the diet or you WILL keep it up and end up sick. Your body will notice that you're starving it and will conserve energy - you'll be tired, crabby, etc.

OK then, here's the math: to lose a pound you need to rack up a deficit of 3500 calories below what your body requires to maintain its present weight. Assuming your body doesn't decide to conserve energy and assuming you don't change your physical activity and you're presently eating, say, 1500 calories per day, it will take three or four days at 500-calories per day to lose one pound. That is, if your body doesn't switch into conservation mode, as mentioned above.

Consuming that amount of calories isn't realistic. Basically, that would be starvation. Knowing your height and weight, I believe that you shouldn't try to lose a lot of weight. If you would like to tone and firm up, then you should do cardiovascular training as well as some lightweight training.

I'm attending college to become a Registered Dietitian (RD). You may ask me any other questions you may have. I'll answer them to the best of my knowledge.

You are pretty much at your ideal weight and personally I do not think you need to lose any more. Also 400-500 youo won't even get the right nutrition and could get sick. I think if you at your weight are worried about losing weight you should talk to someone. You maybe becoming anorexic.Just my thoughts.

Hard to say. It depends on how much activity you have. You may not be able to do much activity, because you'll be too weak. I've never heard of a diet that has less than 1000 calories.

About 10 lbs.

Make sure to eat your protein... It's possible to fit in some protein (if you aren't already) even with such a low cal diet. Try egg whites.

Also make sure you're eating every 3 hours.

AND to boost your metab- drink green tea before every meal. Hmm hope that helps. Good luck :)
