You can do sit ups but don't push your body to much.
Exercise is not enough. You must take a balance diet.
Eat often in a small amount is better than take the big meals but once a day. Make sure that your food have all the nutritions need by your body.
Hopes this will help you.

well the best way to lose the fat in the stomach area as well as the abs is to, like you do, walk and run, as well as bike. but to really burn the fat, do the excercises in the mourning, this will stoke you metabolism all day. also do 300 crunches everyday, this is not as inportant but will build up the abs muscle, and over time this will also burn the fat, remember later muscle will burn fat.
also try drinking 1/2 of a gallon of water, water metabolises fat.

sit ups build muscle, they dont burn any fat.
cardio is the only way to go to burn fat - 4-6 times a week for 30-50min and combine it with light weight training so you wouldnt lose any muscle (more muscle=faster metabolism)
