By 1999, Canada had 35 reportes cass of resistant weeds. A large amount of these cases inoloved Avena Fatua (Wild Oats). This plant competes directly for farmers' crops. What might happen to Canada's economy if this weed became uncontrollable?

Well, the pfaf database lists no toxicity and gives examples of edibility... Also saying it could be used to give common oats similar resistance to various environmental hazards.

So... An uncontrollable food plant. Hmm, interesting idea.
