American Christians, how many Muslims do you know and hang out with???

As I have been reading all of the various debates and discussions regarding Islam and Christianity, I'm left wondering how many of you that rip on the Muslim religion actually have Muslim friends.

There seems to be a VERY LARGE proportion of people that seem to be experts on Christianity yet they also seem to know very little about Islam and Muslim people.

I've even read statements that Muslims wipe their butts with their left hand without the benefit of toilet paper. lol! I'm sorry but I know plenty of Muslims and have yet to catch one of them with crap on their hand!

Likewise, I have also heard that Middle Easterners are dirty people. I have been in the homes and cars of many Muslims and Chaldeans and they are impecabbly clean.

So, please tell me, how many of you that make these ignorant statements actually know a Muslim and actively hang out with he or she?

Apparently I need to clarify something! I'm not saying that Muslims do not wash their hands after using the bathroom! What I am saying is that the ones I know USE TOILET PAPER with their left hand!

And yeah, I'm real racist. That's why I spent the day with my LEBANESE MUSLIM boyfriend and his son.

I don't hang with Muslims nor do I really care to. Until a MAJORITY of the Muslim community speaks out against terrorism and against suicide bombing, then I don't trust NO Muslim.

Just a sidenote: Did you know a recent poll conducted in America discovered that 15% of American Muslims agree with suicide bombing. If you don't believe me, read the report here:

I am a Russian Orthodox Christian, not an avid church-goer, but try to maintain more-or-less spiritual lifestyle trhough prayer and fasting. Majority of my friends happen to be Muslim, and I also studied Islam and MSA for a short while.

I too often feel that many Christians are drowning in ignorance these days, not willing to look back at history and acknowlegde autrocities such as crusades conducted by Christians in the name of Jesus Christ. Many do not see beyond media headlines on Al Quaeda and do not wish to get to know people behind the curtain of the stereotype. I chose different.

My Muslim friends, male and female, are mostly secular, however, some pray daily and all of them are very faithful, honest and kind people. I also have a friend who converted to Islam from Christianity few years back. I love them for who they are and I respect their beliefs.

I know a number of Muslims. Some are co-workers, neighbors, or friends. They have, generally speaking, been nice to deal with. I used to really enjoy talking to a Muslim from Pakistan at work, and we always had really interesting conversations about religion. Several are active in the local arts scene, and are quite good at what they do.

It is an Arab cultural practice to use the left hand and wash after using the toilet, your assumption that because many Muslims do this that their hands would be dirty is racist and offensive

Well I have this friend that is a complete mix of muslim, christian, hindi, buddhist, etc. His race is arabic, african, asian, latin and basically every other possible race, so therefore that means that I am very open-minded to have such a friend and cannot be blamed for anything that leftists want to throw at me.

i've often wondered how a lot of christians freely insult other religions and followers of such religions and then have the audacity to whine about people not respecting christianity and christians.......they don't seem to realize that respect begets respect

I know no Muslims. I know nothing about Islam.
I make no statements whatsoever about Muslims.
Muslim's bathroom habits have never crossed my mind.
It is not " with he or she".... it is " with him or her".
