My 16 year old cat has a promblem with her potassium levels. I have a question about it. Would you be able to give a cat potassium pills that are sold in stores for people. I would never do anything to harm my cat and am asking first if it would hurt her or be alright.

I would never give my cat any medication unless prescribed by my vet. How do know it has potassium problems? if your vet did blood work then he should of given you a prescription, most human pills are not safe to give a cat, let the vet decide what the cat needs.

Ask your vet before you give your cat anything like that. I know you can give Baby aspirin to your cats and dogs but you would even need to ask the vet. how much of that to give.

No. Do what your vet suggests. The forumlations for people are often different, and you could poison her even if you cut the dosage.
