In other words can you fall in love with someone solely through their unique personality traits like by communicating through aim? do you think its possible?

Some people believe it is possible but NO!
Regardless of common interests and personality traits discovered thru AIM, nothing replaces the experience of meeting someone face-to-face. That is where the true chemistry takes place.
Physical appearance is still a major qualifier for love. Even pictures do not tell the whole story. Plus, conversations in person are different than online (more free-flowing).
If you think there is a real connection, meet the person!

Yes! The same thing happened to me last summer. I'd never seen this guy I met through a friend before, but I knew that he was my age and lived like 10 miles from me. We talked over AIM almost every day, and I fell hard for his personality. As luck would have it, he came to my school and we met, and he was hott! We never dated because at the time I had a horrible time talking to guys in person, but we're still close friends, and who knows what the future holds?? =D

Absolutely yes. I think a relationship that has been based strictly on intellectual attraction, and not F'ed up by F'ing first and the emotional confusion it can bring, may be a stronger relationship. You can always add sex to the mix later, after the couple has built the trust and respect for each other that every relationship should have.
I base my answer on pure conjecture and a really good guess. Since I have never waited to build a relationship before having sex, I really just don't know.

Of course it is. If you base love on physical appearance only then you will not stick. Yet through communication you can see who they are really. Yet with out a ace to face meet you may not know if their ling or not. Loving a persons thoughts and ideas is way better that loving their looks.

No, i don't think its love. I highly doubt you can portray your feelings properly through aim or neither can the other person. Things can get confusing or distorted by using words and you put the emotion into words confusing them for what they're not. Maybe, if you talked by phone but not by AIM.

Everything is possible, but the truth is, that it wont last. If physical appearance doesnt matter right now-there will come a time for it to matter and that will get to you. If the long distance for example doent mattter, again there is a time for everything and every place and eventually ....things happen.

For sure and that's the way it's suppose to be.
Why in the world anyone would even want to be with someone sexually who they don't truly love and it is mutal that they are going to be spending the rest of their life together is beyond me.
