I don't understand, why can't you be a Catholic missionary? If you are off being a missionary for one church, how are you fullfilling your duties as a catechist? I guess the biggest thing is are you being open with both pastors about this?

I don't understand why you think you need to do both? Both denominations have missionary groups that go all over the world to help the poor. Although Catholics are a denomination of Christianity, Catholics have a different doctrine that they follow that is contradiction to say, non denominational Christianity. Just as most denominations doctrines differ, this is why there are so many, they do not agree on doctrines. How can you participate in more than one if you know what you believe? It not necessarily wrong, based on your reason for wanting to , but you can't be a hypocrite to what you really believe in your heart.

If you are going to a Catholic church, then you are going to a Christian church. Catholicism is the largest single denomination within Christianity. And what's wrong with the many fine Catholic missions that are already out there and looking for volunteers?

The Catholic church IS a Christian church. Are you trying to ask whether you should go to a Catholic church at the same time you're going to a Protestant church?
Catholic and Protestant churches believe in the same Holy Trinity. They just have different traditions and beliefs about saints, confession, the Pope, etc.
I would think that the more time you devote to God, no matter which House you happen to be in, the better.

I hate to sound repetitive, but yes, Catholics are Christian, the Church of Rome was the original Christian Church. Other denominations formed later *shrug*
Point is, they're the same thing almost, and Catholics are Christian.

Catholicism is part of Christianity, therefore you attend a Catholic Church, you're attending a Christian Church.

There's no need to go to Protestant churches. There are tons of Catholic missions worldwide (probably more than protestants). There are probably also Catholic missions that work with protestant missions, so you should get the exposure you're looking for.

I think you need to do some research, sweetie. Catholics are Christians, but not all Christians are Catholics.
