No nukes have ever been dropped in history (other than controlled tests). The two bombs dropped in WWII were atomic not nuclear.

Only two were ever operationally used.
literally hundreds have been exploded in testing by the USA, France, Russia, China, etc...
And to Sailor_Chronos.... you seem to think that all others were underground. NOT TRUE. some were underground. others were underwater, over water, ground detonated, above ground, high altitude, and even at the edge of space.
All recent nuclear tests have been underground due to a ban on aboveground testing. (Nuclear Test Ban Treaty)
